She hadn't expected to hear that her best friend still harbored feelings for Sun-Woo. In fact, Jiyeon had hoped that Deok-Sun had moved on, fearing the prospect of her getting her heart broken. Bo-Ra's revelation left Jiyeon pondering for days, wondering if Sun-Woo's feelings for her remained unchanged. The topic of his crush hadn't been brought up by the two friends since his confession seven months prior, back in March when it was officially spring, and the cherry blossom trees had burst into bloom. Jiyeon could vividly remember his confession as if it had happened yesterday. She had been leaning against her usual spot near the trash cans, taking a drag of her cigarette, when he had walked up to her. Their conversation had begun casually, with Sun-Woo asking about what she had been up to and if her favorite song was still How Deep Is Your Love by Bees Gees, until Jiyeon cast him a knowing glance, her eyes holding a hint of understanding. Sun-Woo was stalling.

"You're asking me a lot of questions," Jiyeon observed, the cigarette poised between her fingers.

"Is there something wrong with that?" Sun-Woo inquired, a nervous edge to his voice.
