Chapter 36- To the stars

Joon's POV-

I saw Yoongi's wave telling us they were ready. I leaned over to Mel "Okay baby we are ready, can I help you out of the van?" I asked. She hummed a yes, I immediately picked her up bridal style. Smirking hoping, she would say yes to us. We had talked a lot over the past year about plans and feelings, I was sure she would accept.

I placed her down on the gravel driveway and both Tae and I grabbed each of her hands and began walking to the lawn. Just as we got to the beginning of the grass we stopped. I stood in front of Mel and put my hands on her shoulders as Tae took off the blindfold. She blinked a few times and looked at me.

"Where are we?" she asked looking around. She gasped realizing the location, then I stepped aside to let her see the picnic in front of her. "Guys this is perfect!" she said jumping up and down. "Ever since you all showed me, you're In the Soop show I wanted to come here. It looks so peaceful!" She said excitedly.

We walked her over to the blanket, I could hear some soft music playing, internally thanking Yoongi for the ambience. We all sat and ate for a bit, once we all were done, I cleared my throat I usually didn't get nervous to talk in interviews or anything, but this was a big step. I was terrified.

"Mel, thank you for coming with us today. We wanted to share one of our favorite places with you. This place was where we were able to relax for a bit after such a tough schedule a few years ago. Since then, so much has happened.

It's been almost two years since we found you, since we found you, we have all learned so much. While we have had ups and downs, we are so happy with you."

All the guys got up at this moment and stood next to me in a semi-circle. We all at once got down on one knee and said in unison (Yes, we totally practiced this) "Melody, we love you, will you marry us?"

Melody's POV-

I was chatting with Joon and Tae waiting to get out of the van when Joon finally spoke up and helped me out of the car. I was excited knowing they had taken so much effort to do a picnic for me. once my blind fold was removed I was floored, it was gorgeous.

The food they brought was delicious, I would have to remember to thank Jin later, there was no way he didn't plan this, I thought smiling. Then I heard Joon clear his throat, I looked up at him he looked a little nervous.

I listened to him and after his little speech I was already tearing up, then I saw the guys all get up and stand next to him and get down on one knee. OMG is what I think happening? The tears that were starting fully started as they all asked "Melody, we love you, will you marry us?" I stared at them starting to cry, then as fast as I could get my voice to work whispered yes.

As soon as they heard me say yes, they all rushed to hug me. I had my head in my hands crying. I was so happy that I couldn't keep it in anymore.  I know we had been together for a while and yes, we had talked about it I just had no clue that they were ready. Once they all finished hugging me Jimin came up to me with a small box.

"Mel, this is for you baby. We love you so much. Thank you for making us so happy." He said opening the box showing me the ring. He took it out and slowly put it on my hand and kissed my hand as soon as it was in place then giving me another hug and giving me a passionate kiss. The ring was everything I could ever want I thanked him and couldn't stop looking at it.

After hugging everyone and spending a little more time celebrating the guys started showing me around. They told me they were staying for the rest of the week to celebrate getting engaged. I was so happy and excited to be all alone with just them. I was most excited to sit out and look at the stars again.

After everyone settled in we all got ready for a bbq dinner that Yoongi and Hobi had planned. We all were eating under a smaller tent that was set up I spoke up, "Hey guys after dinner can we go star gazing? We can bring out a blanket and sit on it and watch the stars." The guys all nodded and Hobi said "That sounds amazing! Yes!"

The guys all brought out a bunch of pillows and a few blankets and set them up in the middle of the lawn. Jin had also brought out some snacks and drinks as well, I laid down in the middle of the blanket and the guys all laid down around me so everyone could touch me in some way.

I sighed, so happy and content with them just there with me staring at the stars.
