"Good morning, Rosemary. How is your day so far?"

"G-Good morning. Great!" Mr Andrew Hemmings was infront of me with a black bag in his hand.

"So are you attending the party tonight?"

"I think I will not be able to attend. Sorry!" I was so curious about knowing what was in the bag but it's none of my business.

"But I bet you will attend after knowing what I got for you." His words excited me. He handed the bag to me with a smile on his face. "Your father was really a good man. He was trustworthy. I trusted him with my hotel, my money, my children, my everything. When he left the job and left New York completely, I was really upset because I knew I will never find a man like him. And until now, I never found and will never find a man like your father." His ringing phone made him pause. "Yes luke. No no no. I need to talk to you. Floor 21. Okay." He turned to me to continue our conversation. "Anyway, I have promised your father that I will take care of you as long as you are in New York. And if you needed anything, and I mean anything, just inform me immediately. Okay?"

I beamly nodded as he walked away. Before shutting the door, I stepped outside shouting a thank you to him.

I ran into my room excitedly opening the bag he gave me.

I stared at the stupendous dress and the white high heels. I also found a necklace which seemed extremely expensive.

I was on cloud nine.
☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

It's 6:53 and only 7 minutes are left for the party to begin. I eyed myself in the mirror making sure my makeup was simple and that my hair looked good.

The dress was black, my favourite colour, and had a bow at the back. It was short and what I liked about it was that it wasn't tight to my body so I could comfortably move in it.

I walked towards the door making sure I got my key and my phone. I pulled the knob to me and stepped outside slowly to avoid luky from waking up.

I walked to the elevator and pressed on the downwards-facing arrow button. As I was waiting, I found that guy from the other day running to the elevator, the dumbass. I tried to not show my face so he wouldn't talk to me but I guess I failed.

"Hey, you remember me?" He stared at me with a grin.

"Who can forget a dumb person like you?" I stared back.

"Don't call me dumb."

"Oops. Sorry, I thought you were one." I smirked but tried to cover my smirk by looking to the other side.

He didn't reply. He just stood there silently waiting for the elevator to open.

I feel like I'm stupid right now because I had made a big deal out of what happened yesterday.

The elevator opened and we both entered. He pressed on the button of floor 4 and I stood on the opposite side of him.

"By the way, I saw this dress in a shop nearby and," he scratched the back of his neck while looking down, "honestly you look beautiful in it."

I didn't reply neither look at him. I just stood there hoping that the elevator's silver doors would open as fast as possible. And as it was open, I sighed as I stepped out eyeing the crowded floor until I saw Mr Hemmings.

I walked towards him as I saw him kissing a girl's forehead.

"Hey Rosemary, you are here!"

"Yes. I guess!" I said.

"Lauren, this is Rosemary. Rosemary, this is Lauren, my daughter."

"Hello Rosemary, what a nice name you have got!" Her smile was cute.

"Thanks." I beamed at her.

"Alright girls, I will go call luke." Mr Hemmings said and I nodded.

"No need because he's right there." She pointed at a group of four guys, the dumbass was one of them.

"Lucas." Mr Hemmings called. The dumbass took some steps forward.
Oh my God! He's actually Mr Hemmings' son! I'm totally screwed. Ugh!

"Rosemary, Lucas; Lucas, Rosemary."

I finally had the chance to look directly into those blue beautiful eyes but they were surrounded by black circles, it looks like he didn't sleep well. His hand warmed me as we shook hands. Maybe I will remove the thought of him being a dumbass and concentrate more on the word "handsome".

"Nice to meet you, Rosemary." I stared at his lip piercing as he talked.

"Me too, Lucas." Our hands were now disconnected.

"You can call me Luke if you liked to." His smile made me sink into beautiful thoughts.

"Lets go, I will introduce you to his friends." Lauren grabbed my hand and lead me to the three other guys. All of them looked around my age.

"That's Ashton, this is Michael and Calum, the Asian dude." She giggled.

"Lauren! I'm not Asian!" The Asian dude sighed. Liar.

"Calum, you are Asian indeed." She giggled one more time and he glared at her.

"Anyway, that's Rosemary." I shook hands with each one of them and excused myself to go to my room.

When I was on my way to the elevator, I noticed the dumbass...oops, I mean the handsome guy waiting for the elevator so I decided to stand beside him. The elevator opened it's silver doors and we both entered and I pressed on the button of floor 21.

"So hey again!" He glanced at me.

"Hey." I said.

"So why are you going back to your room?" He said as I stood there trying to remember when I said I was going to my room but then I noticed I didn't.

"And how did you know I was going to my room?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You...pressed on button 21, simply!"

I didn't know I was that dumb.

"Oh right! I just feel sick and I wanted to check on my dog."

"Oh. Hope you become well soon."

"Thanks." I said as we walked out of the elevator.

He headed to his room and I headed to my room and entered in carefully to avoid stumbling into anything on the floor. I took off my high heels and went to bed.

I thought about all the surprises that happened today and in next to no time I was sleeping.
