She was given this nickname due to her natural Noona like instincts. During an award show, the act of her helping a new and younger staff member, even though her performance was in 2 minutes was caught by cameras. The staff member who had slipped and was about to fall was caught by her- and just as she had caught the staff member, she said, "Noona's got you!", and as she was wearing a mic, everybody heard it loud and clear. Once the videos were leaked, people went crazy over her- and this gained her the title of Nation's Noona.
▪︎Nation's Girlfriend▪︎ This title was given to Mina after Jungkook joked in a V-live saying she should be called Nation's Girlfriend due to how much of a girlfriend material she is most of the time. Although it was meant to be a joke, people couldn't help but think how much the title fit her- Therefore, she got the title of Nation's Girlfriend within a short time- and it FITS.
▪︎NaNa▪︎ This nickname is a personal favorite of Kim Taehyung's. In fact, it was given by him as well! Even though Mina is pretty easy and fast to pronounce, Taehyung admitted that he still felt the need to give his precious Noona a nickname.
