Prologue.

"Welcome to Municipality of Buenavista? Hmm.."

Base on the audio voice of my phone, I'm in the right place. But being me, always the doubtful one, I'm not gonna depend entirely on the Google maps, so I grab my cute pastel notebook on the passenger seat.

As a writer, I always carry a notebook anywhere I go for two reasons; to chat down any necessary things that I might find along the way and the other reason is for me to use this as an information guide, like what I'm doing right now.

"Nueva Caceres, check. Fontanilla, check. Imperial, check. Barrameda, check. Bernardo, check. Navarro, also check. Next is.. Buenavista.. Okay, that's correct."

Finally, after six municipalities I passed by and almost two days of exhausting driving.. I'm finally here..

I brought my laptop and tablet too but I'm most likely comfortable using my notebooks.

Out of these seven towns, Buenavista is the only small town and not yet a city. I wonder what it looks like?

Buenavista..

I smirked.

I bet, the town's name is also named after a certain rich, prominent family here. Base on what my grandmother told me about this province.. every town here was named after each of the prominent families back in her days. But there's a catch. My grandfather's family name was included but it was not a town's name it was the province name itself.. our surname.. the Castroverde.

I smirked again, too proud not to.

Don't touch me, I'm rich.

But not to brag though, my family is actually rich. We owned the biggest and number one network and entertainment company here in the Philippines. And mind you, our clan is known as vieux riche in the society. What is vieux riche? vieux riche means wealthy persons whose fortunes are inherited, and who are therefore perceived to have refinement and good breeding. In a simple term, it's an old money.

Anyways, something is intriguing about this place that I regret to forget asking about it with my grandmother..

It is about the name of the province. My grandmother said that, although this province was named after our surname, we're no longer the owner of this place since decades ago. So I wonder.. what's playing on the present owner's mind that she or he never replace the name of the province name..

Hmm?

Holy moly.. am I seeing this right?

Kanina ayokong buksan ang sunroof ng kotse ko pero ngayon, I'm opening it now to make sure my eyes didn't lie..

The moment my car's sunroof opens, salty air welcomes me and blows my hair. I didn't stop the car so my hair is dancing because of the wind but I didn't pay attention to that because I'm amazed at what I'm feeling and seeing right now..
