Missing pieces of my skull, I'll sew on patches of my own soul
Yeonhee turned to face him, almost as if she had heard what he had thought. Jake nearly winced at how close their faces were.
"Hi Jakey," she whispered, a soft smile spreading across her face.
"Hi Yeon-ie."
"What's up Jakey?"
"The fireworks."
"Hm?"
"The fireworks," Jake repeated, and pointed at the sky. "The fireworks are up," he explained, a shit-eating grin on his face. Yeonhee grimaced at the terrible joke.
There's nothing you or I can do, so let the stars fall.
Jake laughed at his friend's expression and snuggled his head back onto her shoulder playfully. "You love me bro," he teased. Yeonhee just snorted softly at him in amusement. "Yeah, I love you bro," she returned the mocking tone before turning her head back to continue watching the fireworks.
The colors rained through the dark sky like multicolored hail.
