A FEW WEEKS SOON PASSED, the representatives of the households soon left for the battlefields. Asteria sent a letter to Rocielle with a apology written inside, yet she never received a reply.

Two females sat in the conference room together, a map of the empire laid out infront of them. Red circles marked certain areas, as the blue-haired princess spun the marker around her fingers. "If the knights go through this part of the forest, the probability of enemies would be low. They can create a camp there."

"The passage the nobles suggested is risky, we aren't sure if the enemies had already marked their territory there. It'd be  like walking to the lion's den, unprepared." Asteria pointed to the map, as Medea nodded in agreement. "Correct, it seems like we need not send any reinforcements for now. They seem to be handling things quite decently there."

"We make a pretty good team, don't you think?" Asteria chimed, taking a glimpse at the female who hummed in-front of her. "I can agree with that, I suppose."

Under Asteria's majestic eyes, there were visible bags beneath. Exhausted from planning, and the sleepless nights. "Medea, do you think your brother will be able to return?"

Medea pursed her lips silently, pausing from scribbling down the letter. "He will." Medea responded lowly, swiftly finishing up writing. "Can you pass this to the current commander of the knights?"

Asteria nodded, as Medea lent the envelope to the princess. A attendant of Asteria swiftly rushed to her side, hearing the small bell ring in Asteria's other hand. "Hand this to the commander of the knights, thanks."

The princess showcased a sweet smile, as the attendant nodded and gently retracted the envelope from Asteria's hold and left. "You didn't check the envelope,"

Asteria arched a brow, "Is there anything I must check in your letter?" Medea opted to stay silent for a moment, before replying. "What if the instructions I gave them there would lead to their end?"

"I trust your judgement, Medea. Though, doing that would be quite unnecessary since they are under the Imperial family." Asteria stated, as Medea noticed what she hinted. Asteria knew that Medea would be joining them quite soon, and she'll be the one who will lead the empire.

Unknowingly to her, the edges of Medea's lips tugged upward slightly. The letter was only filled with Asteria's instructions from their discussion earlier on, with how the knights should proceed.

Eros wasn't in the palace, to plan everything else since he decided to visit the border himself. Asteria's plan was successful, as the knights had set a camp there. Truly a magnificent team, the Princess and the Duke's only daughter make.

I LOST CONTACT WITH ROCIELLE, being too focused on the war. The enemies slowly started to withdrew from the battlefields, as I read through his letter.

Octavius and I communicated through letters, although even that was temporarily stopped because of the war. The Azareah kingdom didn't want to get caught up in all this bloodshed, and I understood that.

' Dear Asteria, I hope you were patient waiting for my replies. It might've been hard for you these months ; but you managed to hold up pretty good. I'm proud of you, allow me to say just incase no one still hadn't. I look forward to seeing your pretty face again when the war is over.

- Octavius. '

I giggled quietly to myself, folding the letter back and slipping it inside the envelope again. Swiftly rummaging through my desk to find a paper and a quill to send a reply back.

When I managed to find a paper and a quill, I was swift to write my reply. As I finished, I slipped in a few petals of daisies which I had gotten from a bouquet the palace ministers gifted me.
