Chapter 6: Dumbledore

Start from the beginning

Harry felt a probe in his mind and he very forcefully shoved it out. Snape lost his footing and toppled over and a few Gryffindors decided to laugh causing them to lose 20 points. As graceful as he could be, Snape got up and resumed teaching, if you could call it that, as if nothing ever happened.

That night Harry went to sleep almost proud of himself.

Meanwhile at the Staff Meeting,

"Alright, alright, settle down," Albus said as he sat down at the head of the table in the staff room, "Welcome to another year at Hogwarts,"

The staff meeting went as it normally did every year until Albus asked, "Any exceptional students we should know about?"

Minerva spoke first, "Harry Potter," she said, "He changed everything in the room into animals, Albus, animals. WANDLESSLY!"

"He may... may, be even better than me."

"Yes," Flitwick spoke, more like squeaked," The boy is a genius, he made his feather fly around the entire classroom with his index finger,"

"I must admit," Severus sneered hesitantly, "The boy understood NEWT Level Potions,"

The entire table gaped and Flitwick nearly fell off his chair.

The last time Severus complimented a student was himself.

"I see, you all may want to teach the boy more... complex things and I will speak with him,"

That night Albus paced in his office.

Harry wasn't meant to know about the Wizarding World but it was okay, he saved him from the Dursleys; he was his saviour. It was time to shape the boy into the Chosen One. The one to defeat Voldemort. He was in Slytherin. Perhaps he was just born powerful? No, no. He tested his power before he left him with the Dursleys. He was merely average. Something happened at the Dursleys.

His Occlumency. He had to know about magic to practice. Born Occlumens? No, his Occlumency walls were like he never thought was possible. He managed to push Dumbledore and Snape, some of the most accomplished legilemens in the world, out of his mind.

He was the same as Tom. Less mannered, but still like Tom. Albus couldn't make that same mistake. He must lead him to the light side or the World may change for the worst.

That morning at Breakfast, Harry came into the Hall before any students could enter and took a piece of toast. Dumbledore appeared behind him.

"Harry, my boy," Dumbledore said arms wide dressed in a pink cloak, "would you mind if you come to my office,"

"Of course not, Professor," Harry replied. Dumbledore led the way to his office and opened the gargoyle.

Harry sat down in the seat opposite the desk with impeccable posture.

"Lemon drop?" Albus asked.

"No thank you," his face was blank as always. He needed to keep all emotions behind his Occlumency walls or else he may just drag Dumbledore out by his beard.

The old man put his arms over his lap after taking a lemon drop for himself.

"Harry, my boy you must be wondering why I called you here today,"

"Professor, I have never spoken to you before and so, please do not address me by 'my boy' I am not 'your boy' in any way shape or form, I'd like to be addressed as Potter or Mr Potter," Harry almost laughed but remained emotionless on the outside.

Dumbledore was taken aback and raised his eyebrows but quickly recovered and made his eyes twinkle.

"Very well Mr Potter," he spoke, "I have called you here today to talk about your classes,"

"Am I in trouble, sir?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

"No, no," he replied, "I am simply congratulating you on how well you seem to be doing,"

"Thank you, Professor,"

"Might I ask how you managed to achieve wandless magic?" he said smiling.

"You may ask, Professor as you are at liberty to, but I may not answer," he retorted. The look on Dumbledore's face was priceless. Harry wanted to roll around on the floor laughing but pushed it behind his Occlumency.

"I understand, Mr Potter," he nodded.

Harry felt a probing of his mind stronger than before and pushed Albus out of his mind with way more force than necessary.

"Professor," he sneered, "You obviously don't understand. If you did, you would not have used Legilemency,"

Before Dumbledore could recover and reply, he turned on his heel and tried to leave.

Dumbledore took out his wand and locked the door with an extremely complex light spell. Harry engulfed the room in his Dark Magic and scoffed at Dumbledore.

He hissed in Parseltongue and opened the door.

"Good Evening Professor," he turned to look at him, "I'll leave you to your thoughts,"

He left Dumbledore's head with racing thoughts and the Dark Magic lingering before leaving completely.

"Lemon drop," he whispered under his breath.

Harry smirked although no one could see it.
