Your P.O.V
I heard noises coming from the hall. I was debating whether I should go check on them or not. Suddenly the door opened and I looked up to see Chuuya. It seemed like the other guy had left. He smiled at me as if nothing happened.

"Did you guys manage to sort things out?" I asked. He nodded and sat next to me on the bed. He started caressing my hair and looked me in the eyes. "I think it's time we find a better place to live" he said. I looked af him surprised. "But I don't have a job yet" I pointed out. "You'll get a job eventually" he said. "It wouldn't hurt to start looking for better apartments" he added. "You know these things better than me" I pointed out. He nodded and softly smiled at me.

One week later

I yawned as I slowly tried to opened my eyes. I looked next to me to see that Chuuya had already gone off to work. I decided to check my laptop to see if I got any replies. My eyes widened when I saw that I had received an email. I opened it and read what it said.

Dear Y/n Y/l/n,

We have decided that you are suitable for the job of being a waitress at our cafe. We would like to invite you for a tour and get you started right away. There is no job interview needed. Call me on this number:012345678910 to make an appointment.

I hope to see you soon!

I felt like I was dreaming. I immediately called Chuuya to let him know.

Chuuya's P.O.V

"Just tell us where you hid the damn money" I said as I kicked the man on the floor. "Chuuya you can't solve everything with violence" Kunikida said. I rolled my eyes. "Then get this bastard to talk" I said frustrated before walking away. Suddenly, my phone started ringing. "Y/n?" I asked confused as I picked up. "Guess what!" she said excited. "What?" I asked. "I got a job!" she exclaimed into the mic. I couldn't help but smile. "That's great! I'm so happy for-" I started but got cut off by Kunikida.

"Do you think it's appropriate to call during work?" he asked. "Do you think it's appropriate to wear those granny glasses?" I asked back. "Hey! I like my glasses" he said offended. "Anyways" I said as I returned my attention to the phone. "I'm so happy for you. We'll celebrate this when I'm home ok?" I asked. "I think I'm going to go there today. Perhaps I can get started already" she said. "Are you sure?" I hesitantly asked. "Yeah of course. I need to start becoming independent. I can't rely on you forever" she said. "If it makes you feel happy, I'm not standing in your way" I said.

After ending the phone call, I turned around to see Kunikida with his arms crossed. "Don't you have a criminal to lock up?" I sarcastically asked. "As a matter of fact, I already locked him up and found where he hid the money. And I did it all while you were making your private phone call" he said. "Look I'm in a difficult situation" I pointed out. "I need to keep my phone on me cause I need to be reachable for someone" I added. "And who might this someone be?" he asked. "Dazai hasn't told him" I mumbled under my breath. "Just someone" I said before walking off.

Your P.O.V

I made my way outside and called for a taxi. Luckily, Chuuya had left me cash in case of emergencies. I told the driver where I was going and patiently waited to arrive at my destination.

Once I arrived, I thanked the driver before stepping outside. I looked in front of me to see a shop. "Jenson's cafe" I read. I slowly entered the shop and waited to be greeted by someone. A tall guy with dark brown hair and a slight beard walked up to me. "You must be Y/n" he said. I nodded and smiled. "I'm Jenson, the owner of the shop" he said. "Are you ready for your first day?" he asked. I quietly nodded and followed him around the shop.

After many instructions, he gave me an apron. "Now let's put all that theory into practice" he said. He turned the closed sign on the door around and opened one of the windows. "I usually get around a hundred customers a day. It's a very wanted cafe" he explained. I slowly nodded. The number intimidated me. Talking to him alone didn't seem to scare me that much, but hearing how many different people come here every day was starting to make me anxious.

I heard the sound of a bell ringing and I turned around to see a customer walking in. "Hey Jenson!I'm stopping by to grab a quick coffee. Black, no added sugars or sweeteners" the man said. "As you wish" Jenson smiled and looked at me, indicating for me to go make the coffee. I walked up behind the bar and proceeded to make coffee the way Jenson had shown me earlier.

Once I was done, I handed it to the customer. "Thank you" he said before taking a sip. "Hmm this tastes good" he said satisfied. I felt like I could finally breathe. A weight was lifted from my shoulders. "You keep working like this young lady and soon enough people will start to line up for Jenson again" he said. I smiled and thanked him. He paid and said goodbye to us before leaving.

"I knew you were right for the job" Jenson proudly smiled at me. "Thank you" I shyly replied. "Another one of my workers will come in today so don't feel pressured to do everything alone. He can guide you and help you further" he said. "When is he coming in?" I asked. "In about five or then minutes" he said. I nodded and waited behind the register for any customers.

I heard the bell again and I looked up to see a boy standing in the doorway. He had light brown hair and hazel-greenish eyes. He smiled at me before walking up to the bar and putting on an apron. "So you're the new girl" he said. "I guess so" I replied. "Don't be so tense" he chuckled. "I'll help you if you run into any troubles" he reassured me. "Thank you" I smiled at him. "I'm Kenji by the way" he said and held out his hand. I hesitantly shook it. "Y/n" I said back. "Y/n.. that's a beautiful name" he said. We suddenly heard the familiar bell ringing and soon many customers started entering the cafe.

"We got this!" he said as he raised his fist. I shyly smiled at him. He couldn't help but laugh a little before walking up the customers and helping them all one by one. It surprised me how kind and well-spoken he was. Especially since he seemed pretty young. For some reason I felt comforted by his words and presence.

It reminded me of Chuuya.
