"She's not a dog asshole." Alex says taking the words right out of my mouth.

Ben reaches over to my bag and I slap his hand away.

"Ouch." He says and I shrug reaching back in and pulling out the spicy chicken sandwich.

When I unwrap it I smile.

"Extra mayo?" I ask and Alex nods.

I kiss his cheek before digging into my sandwich.

"Can I have a fry?" Toby asks and I shake my head.

Alex reaches into the bag, grabbing a handful of fries before plopping them into his mouth.

"Hey no fair." Toby grumbles.

"I paid for it." Alex reminds him.

I grab one of those really crispy almost burnt fries from the box and throw it at Toby.

It smacks him right in the center of the forehead making me burst out laughing.

Laughing so hard tears fall from my eyes.

He picks it up off the table and eats it but all I can see it the red mark on his forehead.

Right where the fry hit.

"Are you high?" Willy asks and I shake my head. "I wish."

"Well then what's going on?" Ben says and I shake my head once again.

"You guys don't want to hear it trust me."

Instead they persist.

"Trust me we do." Toby says and I roll my bottom lip into my mouth, "Aunt flow came to visit."

They all look at me like I just talked gibberish.

"The red river."

Nothing.

"Moon time."

Still blank faces.

"I'm on my period assholes." I say and the three of them cringe.

I pop another fry into my mouth.

"That means you're not pregnant." Toby says.

I furrow my brows, "Why is that your first thought?" I ask curiously.

"Also, you would need to have sex in order to get pregnant." I deadpan.

"I'm not an idiot Liv-" His eyes widen, "Wait."

"What?" I look at him confused.

"You two haven't fucked?" Toby asks and I swear I almost spit out my soda.

Alex rolls his eyes as Toby looks between the two of us.

"And?" I ask and he shrugs his shoulders, "I was sure the two of you were already going at it."

"Going at it?" I fake gag and he nods, "Whatever you want to call it."

I throw another fry at him except this time he catches it.

After school I suffer through practice and by the time I get home I can barely sit there and eat dinner with my mom.

All I want to do is change and curl up into bed.

Luckily I am able to once dinner finishes.

I swear my bed has never been so comfy in my life.

The rest of the week goes by the same, except Tuesday and Wednesday I work.

Then Friday I have a football game.

Ugh.

Luckily we only have two more games left of the season. It would've been shorter if our team didn't win every freaking game they played, not that its a bad thing I guess.

I should be more excited than that.

I decide to put my hair up in a high ponytail for the game.

It's supposed to be windy and I don't need to deal with it whipping in my face as I call cheers.

When I get home after school I see my mom isn't here.

I don't remember her work schedule but I think she's working today, so she should be back home after the game.

Alex comes by after the game to walk me home. Claiming it 'isn't safe' as if I haven't done it a million times before.

With his hand engulfing mine we walk down the dimly lit sidewalk.

"How close are you to getting your car?" He asks as we turn a corner.

"Close, a few months and I should be able to."

He hums.

"Do you want to listen to some music?" I ask and he nods.

I pull out my phone and plug my head phones in before handing him one of the ear buds.

Light My Love By Greta Van Fleet, comes on.

I love the comfortable silence Alex and I can have.

It's not awkward or filled with unnecessary talking about things that neither of us care about.

Once we get to my house he pulls me in for a goodnight kiss.

He waits until I unlock the door before he begins walking home.
