Has anyone else had this issue?Since I'm only 21 years I haven't had my first period yet but I'm sure that it wasn't that big of a deal to you.Also, I was referred to a gynecologist after a transabdominal scan which revealed that my uterus and ovaries were underdeveloped. The doctor diagnosed me with Mayer-Rokitansky-Kster-Hauser syndrome
and I was devastated by this as i learned that i could never fall pregnant.
A TV played quietly in one corner, a distraction that I thought might help keep my mind off everything the doctor had just said.
Allow me to take you to the day I had visited the Doctor to get contraceptives as I was now ready to be deflowered by my boyfriend. Therefore i did not want to fall pregnant,hence the doctor asked me weird questions which led to my referral and diagnosis. That was the end of me ,was I even a woman ,who is going to marry a lady that cannot give an heir.Women are naturally nurtures and are born to procreate .What was my purpose if I can't carry out a simple thing ? These thoughts kept running in my head. Now I am 1 in a 5000 women unable to conceive and that my friends is the beginning of my story.
