It was like grabbing a bar of frozen iron, both cold and hard, and he couldn't release it no matter how hard he tried.
From his ear came a low voice saying "Be good." It was both pleasant to the ear and light. The final syllable was slightly hoarse, making anyone who heard it feel a ticklish feeling in their heart. Zhi An once again fell back asleep in a daze.

When Zhi An woke up, it was already 3 hours later. The sun shone bright, the light infiltrating the cave from a distance. He was still in a condition where he couldn't distinguish anything around him. He slowly rubbed his hazy eyes when he realized that he's in an unfamiliar place. Feeling uncertain, the man slowly sat up as he observed his surroundings.
Where am I?
What's this place?
Zhi An tried to remember the scene before he fainted, and his mind particularly brought back the scene where he felt an excruciating pain on his neck. A normal human with intelligence could deduce right away that it was caused by his fellow Zombie King.
Ugh, seriously... Zhi An groaned as he massaged the back of his neck, trying to soothe the lingering pain away. I swear the moment I see that bastard, I'll make sure to beat him up. How dare he handle me so roughly?
Zhi An didn't realize that Chen Hua's fear of Zhi An's rejection was the reason why he fainted. It must be known that at that time, Zhu Liwei had already revealed his identity as a Zombie King, and any normal human would have felt apprehension and rejection towards the other kind. But Chen Hua didn't have the time to explain to Zhi An, so without further ado, the man immediately kidnapped him in broad daylight.
Where the hell is he, anyway? Zhi An thought as he limped out of the mattress that was made out of sedge grass and hay. Seeing a dim light entering the cave from a distance, Zhi An made his way to it. The young man wandered up the dark tunnel. His shoes scraped against the damp stone floor, echoing slightly throughout the passage. He could only rely on his sight to navigate out of the area and towards the light.
Upon arriving at the entrance of the cave, a bright light overtook his eyesight, blinding him for several seconds. When his eyes adjusted to the sudden brightness, what came into his view was a breath-taking nature full of forestry. Towering trees extended into the morning sky, providing shade for the lifeforms below. Green blades of grass swayed gently in the breeze, glistening with moisture as the wind brushed past them.
With the absence of wandering low-ranked zombies, it created an illusion that the world was as peaceful as it had been in the past.
Of course, the illusion was quickly shattered when a familiar voice suddenly appeared behind him
"You're awake?" A low voice growled. The man's hot breath falling into his ears.
"I—"
Zhi An wasn't given the time to answer before the man behind him shot out one more question, "Truffle bun, are you running away?"
Then a dangerous sensation seeped out as he felt the man's fingers rubbing the back of his neck. Zhi An could feel a shiver running down his spine. But reason overwhelmed his instincts to survive, and he pushed down the fear in his heart, calmly answered.
"No. I'm looking for you."
Chen Hua looked at the young man who had turned his body to face him. His eyes deepened, as a dark light twinkled in his eyes.
"Not because I'm a zombie?"
It was undeniable that Chen Hua didn't want to listen.
He was afraid.
