Tories POV:

I excitedly left the building where I got interviewed and called a cab. They seemed so interested in me and the job seemed amazing. I'll get to feed the animals and work in different areas of the zoo if I do end up getting the job.

I clicked onto 'create new message' and decided to text billie and see how she was doing with madeline. Before I could even send a message, I got an incoming facetime call from billie. I clicked answer and was surprised to see madelime running around with the phone in her hand.

"Get back here!" I heard billie say in a funny voice as she chased her. Maddys giggles filled the room as she ran away. "Hi momma." She said before screeching and running the other way. "Hi baby. Did billie give you her phone?" I laughed.

"I gotcha!" Billie said and picked her up, taking the phone. "No she did not." She said panting. I laughed at the two girls as the cab pulled up. "How are you guys?" I asked. "Good. She just has me a little out of breath that's all." She panted out. I chuckled at her and put my seatbelt on.

"So how did the interview go?" Billie asked as she sat down in what looked to be the living room. "Really good actually. I think I might get the job!" I said with a big smile. "Awe, im glad. I don't mind watching maddy if you do get the job." She smiled. "Billie you're so sweet, but I couldn't put that type of pressure on you." I told her. "Dont be silly, ma. Hit me up if you need me to." She said while yawning as she looked away from the phone for a moment.

I couldn't help but just smile. Shes so sweet, I don't deserve it. The cab started driving up my avenue and I got ready to pull the money I had saved out. "Alright im headed towards the apartments now so I'll see you guys in a moment." I told them both, more to billie tho. "Okay, say bye Madeline." Billie said holding the phone to maddy. Billie looked so tired, poor thing. She waved and billie smiled, yawning again. She said a little "bye" before she ended the call.

I handed the driver the money and got out, heading to the complex. I opened the doors and went straight to the elevator. When the elevator brought me to my floor I headed to my apartment and opened the unlocked door. I closed it and walked into the living room to see billie on the couch with maddy in her arms asleep. Maddy was awake watching TV while leaned into billies chest.

I couldn't help but just admire billie. Shes a very beautiful girl. Im so jealous. I tiptoed past them, maddy glancing at me. It took a minute but she realised I was home and got down, running towards me. "Hi beautiful." I whispered. I picked her up, looking at billie, my face holding a soft expression. "Look, you wared billie out." I whispered again with a chuckle. "Billie gone ni ni." She said pointing at her. "Yep, billies gone night night." I replied.

I debated on waking her up or just letting her sleep. She seemed comfortable and shes probably exhausted so I just let her stay there. I walked into the kitchen, maddy hot on my trail and boiled the kettle. I got a cup out and put a teabag in it and got Madelines sippy cup and put some almond milk into it for her. I handed it to her and she ran off.

After making my tea, I carefully and quietly walked into the living room and sat down beside billie. She shifted slightly and let her head fall onto my shoulder, making my tea splash on my leg a little. I winced as it burned me and put my tea down for a second. "Maddy go get mommy a towel please." I asked my baby. She looked at me as I pointed to where they were. She ran over with her bottle in hand and grabbed it for me, handing it to me. I whispered out a little "thank you." and wiped my leg.

Once that incident was cleaned up, I took my phone out, going to Instagram. I scrolled through my feed for a little until it got boring. I then went onto Snapchat to answer a few people. As I opened the app, I saw what billie looked like on the camera. I smiled, chuckling quietly as I recorded her. She shifted and digged her head into my neck. It was really a joke at first, but I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. The feeling was weird, especially because it was billie. I mean I barely know her, why am I getting this feeling?

I stopped recording and saved it to my camera roll. I went onto iMessage, sending it to the new contact. "You look pretty sleeping" I wrote and sent both the video and message.

After about an hour later billie began to stir awake. She lifted her head from my shoulder, looking at me with a tired look on her face. "Goodmorning sleepy head." I teased. "Bro I'm so sorry." She rasped out. I felt those same butterflies hearing her speak. It was hot, I have to admit. "Nah its cool, honestly. I didn't wanna wake you up, you looked so peaceful." I replied as she wiped her eyes.

She gave me a lazy smile and stood up. "Do you want coffee or a cup of tea?" I asked. "Nah don't worry, I've been enough of a hassle." She chuckled. "You weren't a hassle at all, more of a lifesaver. I wouldn't have been able to do that interview if it weren't for you." I nudged her after standing up. She smiled and pulled her phone out, checking the time.

"Its only 5, so why not I guess." She shrugged stuffing it back into her pocket. I grinned and went to the kettle, re-boiling it. "Coffee or tea?" I asked. "Coffee please." She asked. I nodded as I added some to a cup. When the kettle was finished boiling I filled both of our cups up. The smell of coffee lingered around me as I brought our cups to the table.

"So, if you don't mind, i wanna get to know you a little better." Billie said as I reached into my pocket to find money for her babysitting. "What do you wanna know?" I asked sliding a 20 dollar bill over to her. "Sorry, that's all I've got at the moment." I added. "Bro stop take that shit back i don't want it." She laughed and slid it back. "But I wanna know anything. Your favourite color, flower, season. I don't care." She added on.

I rolled my eyes and stuffed the money back in my pocket before speaking. "Well my favourite colors would probably be sage green and brown. I love roses, as basic as it is. And my favourite season is winter." I smiled. "Noted." Billie smiled as she sipped her coffee. "What about you, tell me shit about yourself." I said.

"Hmm alright. Well I've got a weird brother who's my best friend, I was born and raised here, I fucking love taco bell and my favourite color is black." She told me. "You seem interesting, tell me more." I said and rested my chin on my hand as I listened to every word.

We spent another 2 hours just talking and enjoying eachothers company. Shes so down to earth and real bro. You dont find a lot of that here in L.A.

"I better go, its getting late." Billie said as she rinsed her cup. "Alright, it was really nice talking to you. Thank you again for babysitting madeline." I smiled as I walked her to the door. "It was nothing." She waved it off. "You're a really cool person to be honest." She smiled flipping her hair over as I opened the door. "You too." I replied.

Her 5"6 self stood looking at me for a moment, her eyes traveling from my eyes to my lips. I watched her look at my left eye, then my right, then my lips and back to my eyes. My heart was beating so fast and I don't know why.

It didn't take long for us both to lean in slowly and bring our lips together. My stomach did a flip as she held my waist softly. She pulled back a little with a smirk on her face as I was clearly flustered. "See you around torie." She whispered out against my lips and walked away. My mouth hung open as I closed the door and leaned against it.

I just kissed billie.
