Ms. 52 Seconds

Chapter 1

Ji Eun's POV

He was walking so gracefully, in that white shirt and blue loose fit jeans, running his fingers through his hair, brushing them back. I was looking at him with a small smile on my face. How can someone be so perfect? Well he can be afterall he's Jeon Jungkook. I checked him again and lowered my gaze to the keyboard my fingers were still resting on. Aish! this man really have some effect on me.
'Jungkook came towards me_______ (let your keyboard)'
I typed on keyboard and press enter then Share.
"Today's 3rd and last reel in uploaded"
I said to myself turning of my laptop as streched my arms high in air and closed my eyes to relax a bit.

"Ji Eun"
I heard my roommate calling me from behind, I hummed in response. Eyes still closed.
"Are you coming with us to grab some snacks from near by cafe?" She asked, making me turn back to look at her.
"No, you guys go. I nead to revise notes." I said with a soft smile.
"Just take break Eunie!" She came towards me leaning her back on my desk, her arms crossed on her chest.
I chukled lightly, "My break just ended. I used to upload reels on my Instagram Fanpage" She looked at me in disbelief. I broke the eye contact and looked back at the books arranged on desk in-built shelf and reached out for Folder I keep my loose papers in.
"You want me to get you something?"
She asked.
"Yes, cookies please"
I said with a wide smile on my face as I took out few sheets from the folder and started reading them after grabbing a highlighter. She patted my back after saying 'Ok' and few seconds back I heard the sound of door closing.
I looked at my clock, "2 hours, no distraction! Focus!"

I closed my books and took a glance at table clock.
8:49 PM
Great! I studied 49 minutes extra. It took me more to cover entire topic.
I got up from my seat and walked to the washroom to freshen up. It's time to dinner. Speaking of dinner Hae Ri isn't back yet. This girl! She never comes back on time when she goes out alone.
After drying my hands, I fished for my phone and dialled her number, after 3 rings she picked up.
"Where are you? How long-" I spoke, but before I could complete she piped in between,
"I'm in canteen. Getting both of ours food packed."
She hanged up. I looked at my phone dumbfounded. Why she's in so much of hurry. I thought for a second and I recalled, I'm no better.
Ahem...
We often eat our meals in our dorm room instead of dinning room of Dorms. It feels better. We can have our nice to odd all kind of conversations, more comfortably.

Hae Ri and I know eachother since High School and now we are together in University too.
It's amazing to have your best friend as your dorm-mate. And we are classmates too, but for 1 lecture only.

Soon I heard a knock and as expected on opening the door there she was with 2 bags in her right hand and 1 in left, her crossbody shouldn't be ignored either as it's zip was undone thanks to all the stuff she tried to fit in it.  I immediately took bags from her hand and walked inside placing them on bed with her following me.
"I thought you just went for snacks?" I said looking at all the bags, "but here we have 3 bag-"
"2" she cut me in between as she took one bag and shoved it into me making me startle at her sudden reaction, "it's our dinner" she continued. I grabbed the bag and looked into it, along with 2 take away plates from our canteen there was something else too. I looked back at her.
"I bought you kimbibap and tteokboki, now go and serve it for both us." She said shooing me away with her hand.
I grinned like an idiot and hugged her tight
"You're best Hae Ri-ah, saranghae!"
"Don't act like this just for tteokboki, is that all to win you?"
"For you? Yes!" I said batting my eyelashes and a loud laugh escaped from my mouth.
She laughed at my childish self only a few people know about and pushed me towards small kitchen we have in our room.
