Chapter 11

On reaching the grounds Abhiti saw that Maharani Kunti was watching the match keenly

Abhiti (in her mind): Maybe this is the right time to talk with her since everyone else is busy watching the battle otherwise it will be difficult to avoid prying eyes while trying to talk to her alone as I don't trust Gandharraj Shakuni..... He might start plotting if he gets to know anything rn

She went to a maid and told her something quietly and the maid nodded and left..... Abhiti too slipped out without anyone noticing anything

Abhiti: Damn this is the second time I am sneaking out of the grounds... I don't think I am getting to watch the match today but this is the best time to sneak out since everyone's attention is on the match

Abhiti arrived at Maharani Kunti's chambers and was waiting outside the door patiently.... She just hoped that the maid did her work properly otherwise it will be an issue..... Soon Kunti arrived alone

Kunti: Yes dear the maid told me that you wanted to talk to me alone right now.... Is everything okay?

Abhiti: Yes Maasimaa I just wanted to talk to you alone.... There are some things that you should know before we decide to go ahead with the marriage

Kunti: Alright darling, lets go inside and talk alone

Both went inside the chamber and Abhiti made Kunti sit on the couch and she herself sat on the floor near her feet

Kunti: Baccha sit next to me not on the floor

Abhiti: No Maasimaa I am quite comfortable over here.... I want to sit here only

Kunti: Okayy .... Now tell me

Abhiti: Maasimaa I wanted to tell you something about myself..... I am not a typical princess.... I am raised to be a warrior and protect my people and kingdom...... I won't be taking everyone's orders if they are wrong or they're something against my family and loved one's happiness...... I can do anything for the safety and happiness of my family and loved ones.... I'll always be a warrior before being a princess and for me the kingdom's people will always come first and be above me

Kunti (smiling): I already know that my dear child.... When I saw the way you protected your brother yesterday and stood up for him I understood that you won't tolerate any injustice against your loved ones..... My Sahdev my youngest child is always the calmest and patient and you being the absolutely opposite will complete him..... I don't see any problem with you being a warrior and not a typical princess.... I always wanted to be somewhat like you but I never really had the guts to speak my wish and opinion as from childhood I was told that women should always listen to men and had a lot of restrictions ..... I even learnt archery but after getting married I had to leave it completely but this won't happen to you and even if someone asks you to leave it you shouldn't leave your weapons because a warrior doesn't look good without weapons

Abhiti: Wow Maasimaa it's refreshing to listen to such thoughts coming from a royal lady that too a Queen

Kunti: I know baccha but not all women have the guts to speak openly in this patriarchal society which shouldn't be the case.... I hope this changes soon

Abhiti: Actually I already have discussed about all this with Rajkumar Sahdev.... Even he has no issues with all this but before we go ahead I just wanted you to know all this.... I met accidently and thought of talking to him first since he's the one I have to marry

Kunti:The way you decided to clarify all these things to Sahdev even before any relationship is formed shows your honesty and dedication for your relationship.... A small piece of advice from me "Always be honest in a relationship and never hide anything from your husband/wife"

Abhiti: Okay I will always try to follow it

Abhiti smiles and leaves after taking her permission with a turmoil in herself unknown to Kunti ..... She has her own secrets which she hasn't spoken to Dev (Sahdev but I'll write Dev).... She reaches the battle arena as she has been absent for a long time.... She saw the battle still going on.... They were both showing equal prowess and there was no sign that anyone is getting defeated.... Finally the match was declared a tie since they realized that it is really difficult to get a winner.... Abhiti already knew that this would be the result... She was very happy and went to Karna... Karna informed her that he was going to visit Gurudec

Next Day,

Abhiti's Pov,

I don't know if I am doing right or not by keeping secrets from Dev.... This is the 1st time I haven't been absolutely true to him and have kept secrets from him but I feel he might not be very happy after hearing the things I have in my mind or probably I should discuss with him before doing anything else.... Ugh this is so annoying... But Bhrata Krishna told me to talk with him about everything so maybe I should tell him everything... I guess I'll tell him soon.... After knowing the entire Mahabharat Abhiti (Dwaparyug) did awesome arrangements from earlier for the future.... Let's just hope Dev reacts a bit calmly knowing everything..... I wish we were in 2021 atleast there I wouldn't have to make so many plans and destroy ploys of others.... But as Mumma used to say that I should adapt as per circumstances and meet my problems head on and I will do that and make my mumma-papa and mom-dad proud....  Let's hope everything goes as per my plan.

I am really sorry for the late update but I was not in any position to write... I had problems in my personal life and my mental peace was gone. Along with that my college and extra course was started to take a lot time. Thank you so much for your patience.
