1 - Money, Power & Growth

Start from the beginning

As they walked through, she kept her eyes on the women on stage dancing and not some pretty beautiful dance. No it was more of a sexually provocative dance that involved more ass and thighs than anything. People say twerking, but Teresa likes to think of it as making money. Because it's not just making your ass clap or moving one cheek than the other, or bussing a split on the ground, it's about making money in something you like doing.

Dancing.

She pulled her eyes off the mounts of money filling the floor as she went into the back, setting the muffins down. Nina grabbed her arm, pulling her into the locker room, where the women got ready, get dolled up for their performances. She sat her bag down, opening her locker and her previous outfits fell out. Ones she would just throw away.

In the beginning when she started stripping she used the same outfit for multiple days, washing them for the next and next day because they would be sweaty. But when she built her money, she became almost bougie, never wanting to wear the same outfit again. Same is lame to her. New, gets you more customers and more customers means more money, which only means new outfits and the process cycled.

"Sweetness!" One of her friends called out her dance name as she pulled her into a hug.

Sweetness was what they called her.

It was pretty simple, she used to wear this edible body dust, but she only wore it because it smelled good. one day her best friend decided to lick her for play purposes, being funny until she tasted the dust and she said "You taste so sweet, girl what is that?"

They thought sweet was stupid, so they decided sweetness. She didn't have an issue with the name, she never made her own.

"Mom's muffins in the back" Teresa giggled and just as usual, girls ran to the back. They loved her blueberry muffins.

"Todavía no se lo has dicho?" (You still haven't told her?) Another friend, Jordyn asked. Teresa rolled her eyes annoyed that the conversation was brought up again. Jordyn saw her discontent countenance and walked over, hugging her and swaying her side to side, kissing her cheek causing her to laugh.

"Está bien mamás, todos estamos aquí para ti" (It's okay mamas, we all are here for you) She kissed her cheek once more, Teresa nodded her head high of her supportive and openhearted friend.

"Hey! English bitches" Nina hollered out amusingly causing them to giggle and Jordyn to give her the finger, moving away.

Shockingly there weren't many Spanish speaking women there.

Teresa took off her black heels along with her blazer, neatly folding it and putting it into her bag making one of the girls snicker with rudeness. She turned and Nina put her hand on her shoulder, stopping her. I guess everyone can't get along, She thought.

Which was true. In her work it was all competition. Some girls just didn't want to see others make money. Why fight over money when you can make more together? At least that was her mindset along with a few others.

She folded her dress and Nina dropped her comb saying, "Bitch!" Really stretching the word out like she does. Teresa winked, twirling around, giving her the full look of her fit.

"Bought it yesterday." Teresa said humbly. Even if she came later than most girls, she was one of the popular dancers, known most for her lap dances and pole dances. She never bragged about it to other girls' faces, she never had to. She was a humble person.

She may have played around with her friends in a bragging way but it was harmless and she would help out her friends if needed, if she had it. Not meaning she was ever broke, she had the money, she just couldn't use it because it was needed for other things.
