It was a one cold night
Rain is pouring very hard
Voices started to speak
Anxiously afraid to go out
The fear of seeing you
The sparkle in your eyes
I know it'll take me back
To what we used to have
That is already long gone
I couldn't take a look
Afraid I might fall
And hurt myself again
I play very carefully
By this game of mine
One strike and I'll lose
These feelings that live
They're betraying me
Says I could never see you
Or else I will trip again
Watching my steps carefully
Frightened to hurt either of us
I know from the beginning
I haven't really moved on
A dumb confession has made
Now that I'm still trapped
By your words and promises
Suffocated and mentally tortured
But I thought to myself
No woman would ever think
The pain was all worth it
