"HA- and that teacher just let you go?" Y/N yelled out, taking another shot. "Hey, stop drinking, that's not-" Vasco tried to say worriedly, but was cut off by a shushing from Jace. "Yeah- we just wrecked the damn place and he was too scared to say anything!" The whole table burst into laughter as two of the misers cheered with their choco milks over their shared terrorism of their poor former teacher. "Aw, man-" Y/N continued to laugh loudly.

Everyone else in the restaurant, except for one other rambunctious table of j high students was watching them- it was a strange sight, a single teen girl drinking away with a table of muscly men, looking as if they ranged from her age to 40 years old. Was she- being kidnapped??

"Anyhow, Y/N-" Jace laughed, clinking her glass with hers again which made Y/N happily take another shot of soju and Vasco to shed another tear. "I think you'd find Burn knuckles just the right place for you- seriously-" he looked expectantly at her facial expressions, and sensing that she was one sentence away from passing out, continued on: "what do you say you join us?" Y/N sat for a bit, before laughing loudly again. "Oh man, Jace- you really are brainy, huh-

Trying to get me drunk so I'd blab, telling everyone else about this beforehand?" Y/N only smirked up at Jace, who now looked infinitely stunned. "Don't think I don't know how the Burn knuckles work- Vasco wouldn't ever let anyone drink alcohol unless you all found it absolutely necessary." Y/N laughed again, now flicking Jace on the head. "Jokes on all of you: my siblings built up my alcohol tolerance a long long time ago."

Y/N's POV:

I felt kind of bad for Jace when I saw his completely defeated look, but hey, I couldn't just pretend to be drunk that whole time- what if they tried something? Though, I doubt Vasco would've let him go any further.

Testing my alcohol limits is a joke- I was only 7 when I got my first taste- well, my first bottle. I still remember that day so clearly, when DG pulled the bottle victoriously from the fridge and we both thought it was water, so just went for it. Hard liquor. Crystal and chairman Choi came home to two drunk kids and we got tested for alcohol poisoning that same night. What a life.

"Alright, alright-" Jace put his hands up, as if he was surrendering. "You got me. That was our plan. But why not just join our gang- it can benefit all of us-" "I already said, it's because I sort of came here to get away from all of that- and- I promised my siblings I wouldn't fight out here." I lied. Not really- Goo would've been proud- Kouji would want to watch me get beat up- Crystal wouldn't care, DG would be too busy trying to be the next BTS and Gun would just sigh in disappointment. It's whatever to all of them.

The real reason I didn't want to join was because I didn't want to lock myself down so fast. It's what I've always been known for- being able to float from place to place, make deep connections with every crew and gang- it never seemed to be about how well I fought, but instead how well my brain worked at convincing others to let me into their own little worlds. But I wasn't sure if I could do that here. Maybe for the first time in my life, I would be known as a member of a crew- locked down. I didn't really like that. But, some fighting action would really be nice-

"Alright then." Jace sighed and leaned back in his chair, "we made the offer already- you think about it then."
