Whitney's POV
November 13, 1994
It was Sunday, and Michael and I were at the Christ Memorial Church of God in Christ for both Michaela and Michael John's baptism!
Because both of Michael's parents are Jehovah's Witnesses, they along with the rest of the Jackson Family unfortunately could not be there to see our children's baptism. My parents had flown in to be there however, along with the Winans, my brothers and their families, my cousins Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick, Robyn, Elizabeth Taylor, Chaka Khan, Kim Burrell, Angela Basset, Shirley Caesar, and my Auntie Aretha Franklin. And of course, the babies' Godparents, James Brown and Diana Ross!
I was wearing a beautiful white blouse, hat, and skirt.
Michael was wearing a handsome tuxedo with a red blazer.
Michaela and Michael John were wearing the christening outfits that Diana Ross had gotten for them.
My mother was holding Bobbi Kristina in her lap as we began the ceremony. Officiating the ceremony was none other than pastor Andrae Crouch.
He had helped Michael record the songs Man In The Mirror, Keep The Faith, Will You Be There, and has even helped provide his own choir as background vocals for Michael's Earth Song on the HIStory album.
