~Chapter 46~

"Hey Amanda pass me my bag will you?" I asked as struggled to keep my stuff in my locker. "Amanda?" I quickly slammed the locker door and leaned against it, forcing it shut. "Hey wake up. Earth to space cadet." I waved my hand in front of her face but her gaze was glued on the end of the corridor.

I managed pry my bag from her solid grip and finally turned around to see what the problem was. Approaching us as though he owned the school was a boy with golden blonde hair styled with lots of gel, his azura blue eyes reminded me of the ocean. He walked up next to Amanda and grabbed a key from his pocket, opening up his locker.

"Hey there." He said after eyeing Amanda up and down. I caught the glint of jewellery. Both his ears were pierced with silver studs and he had on a chain necklace.

"H-h-hi." Stammered Amanda. Her face flushed all over.

"Your blonde hair is beautiful." He leaned forward and picked up a strand of her long blonde hair. Amanda nearly passed out. "How would you like to come watch me win a football match tomorrow?"

She nodded stiffly. He gave her a brilliant shining smile and turned to take some books out of his open locker. While he was preoccupied Amanda took this moment to faint through the wall of lockers.

"Amanda!" I said through gritted teeth and quickly stood in front of the boy. Blocking out the view of her feet sticking through lockers.

"Where did Miss Blondey go?" He asked perplexed as he was confronted by me.

"Err, bathroom! She went to the bathroom! But she'll definitely be at the match tomorrow so don't you worry." I gave a winning smile.

After I had watched him disappear around the corner I quickly ran round the classroom directly behind the lockers and found Amanda's head sticking out the other side of the wall.

"D-did you hear that?" She said in a daze. "He likes me!"

"He sure did." I gave her an encouraging smile, and quickly pulled her through the wall before we were discovered by a teacher.

"You seem very supportive of Amanda going to watch a guy? I thought you hated men?" Said Dena questionably as I sat on the arm chair reading a book on Lynx's.

"I do hate men." I said mildly flicking a page. Amanda was floating around the house in a hazy daze. She passed right over my head and through the TV.

"Then why are you supporting her?" Dena jumped up onto my lap and peered up at me.

"Because she's a ghost and unless she can find another undead guy there's no way she can have a mortal boyfriend and what are you doing?" I stared down at Dena as she continued to rub herself against my stomach.

"I'm practicing."

"For what?"

"Just on how to be a cat." She swished her white tail in my face and leapt onto the back of the sofa.

I sighed and got back to my book.

I had just gotten up to the part where it explained about the Lynxes breeding pattern. They mated once a year in late winter and the female would give birth to between 1 and 4 kittens during a pregnancy of 70 days.

I shivered.

"Thank goodness it's late summer." I said relieved.

"Doing a bit of research?"

"Aiyee?!" My ears popped up and my tail quivered as a hand slipped down and pulled on it playfully.

"A hello would be nice too." I sprang off the sofa and transformed, landing expertly on all fours growling menacingly.

"Pervert!" A strong breeze hit me and I looked over at the billowing curtains. "And use the door god dammit!" Ikuto chuckled and scooped me up in his arms.

"Such a cute doggy." He smiled cruelly and tickled me behind my ear. I snapped at him and kicked off against his chest. Skidding towards the back door.

"Go away!" I barked as I ran through into the garden. And straight into the pool.

I accidentally gulped in a lot of water and swam up choking. I changed back into a human and treaded water as I gasped for air.

"You okay?" Said Ikuto curiously as he squatted down at the edge of the pool.

"Apart from being soaking wet and smelling like wet dog I'm fine. But more importantly when the heck did we get a pool?"
