"Then just tell her" Yoongi stared at him.
"Is he always like this?" Lexie looked at him.
"You can leave you know" as Yoongi chuckled.
"You want to be alone" as he glared at him. His mind had been racing of late as their last fight, how did he not know all the things she had done for him.

"Does she know about you two?" she he looked at them
"I think she does" Lexie looked at him
"And?" Yoongi looked to her
"She hasn't said anything but she has been hinting that she is happy for us" as she smiled to Yoongi.
"Perhaps cause she is happy too" Lexie looked at Yoongi as he sighed.

He walked away carrying the water to his room, he was done.

"Nothing can ever happen that I would stop loving him" he listened through a crack in the door as he lent back against the wall, to the words she had said to her bestfriend. Words about him that she would never tell him.
"Are you going to tell him?"
"Why should I? He broke the heart of my bestfriend 100 times over..."
"He loves her too... he just doesn't know what to do with it"
"She isn't much better sometimes I guess..."
"But she has tried... " as he listened in from his door to the conversations Lexie relayed at him.

"That isn't living?" Lexie's worried had weighed on his mind.
"Then so be it...  he is someone I will carry with me"
"If he moves on?"
"Nothing can ever change that... what else can I do?" as Yoongi's look was as stunned as his, Lexie left out no details "this is my family too.. I hate seeing her feel like this"

"You should have told her to try with Malic"
"I think she really is but they have always been... them" as he nodded, in agreement with her.
"Remember how no guy would be around her after he appeared next to her at the cafeteria" as Yoongi shook his head at the memories.
"Only the brave ones"
"Brave or stupid?" as Lexie smiled at him.
"Let's go to bed" as he got stood up extending his hand to take hers. How simple it was, that one gesture that he wanted for himself.

He heard Yoongi's door close as he quietly closed his door heading to the front door, he left quickly. Driving down the freeway he knew he shouldn't have listened in on them but no matter what she had been slipping away.

"When the lights go out... only you..." he had never been able to find the words as the rain poured down on them both. Her big brown chocolate eyes stared up at him as he tried to condense years into the few sentences she would give him before she walked away.

"Seokjin" as her formality has shocked him, he held his hand out as she pulled back away from him. Years of being there for each other, the many times he had hurt her. The many flings he had and the many times she came to him or when he went to her. They were comfort, they were inescapable and she couldn't escape his grasp as he couldn't get out of her shadow.

"Devyn please" as she looked up at him. There was something she couldn't explain about how she felt around him, how he made her weak and unable to think or feel anything but him when he was close.

"Jin please don't do this" as she watched her phone light up in her hand, it was probably Malic "We aren't..." she wasn't even sure there was a word to describe it.
"Does he know about that night you came to me after your first date?" as she looked into his eyes, the memories flashed back at her when he sat her up on his desk and took every part of her as the music drowned out their moans and her screams.
"If he did you think he would not choose me? Am I that broken to you?" she creased her eyes at him as she looked into them, the deep brown of his eyes that melted her.
"That isn't what..." as he searched for the words, grabbing her wrist so she wouldn't walk away.

"That's it... 10 years and that's it?" as she sighed looking down.
"And what if it is?" she pulled her hand out of his, it had pained him.
"Cause now I know what love is, what happiness is and I cant live without it... I wont be without you, to be incomplete again" as she turned away, the tear glistened in her eyes she hesitated. She always hesitated when it came to him.
"What of the last 10 years has been complete" she tucked her hands under her arms, crossing them over as she felt the chill hit her.
"Every time I was with you" she looked down as she tried to compose herself and her thoughts.
"This isn't fair" she looked to him briefly before turning away, he knew it wasn't fair to fight her like that.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me what you see"
"I need to go Jin" as she shut the door behind her exiting the class room they had slipped into. She had been leaving him hanging lately. The way she ended conversations now, when before she hated things unresolved.

He knocked on the door quietly as she opened it her eyes wide as she turned to the phone.
"I will call you tomorrow, Lexie is back. Bye"

He walked in without her invitation, he had never needed it as she stood slowly closing the door "Jin what are you doing here?"
"Lexie huh?" he turned to face her pinning her against the door as he bent down looking into her eyes, her shock had been written all over her face.
"What are you doing here" it wasn't even a question.
"We need to finish our conversation from today"
"No we don't" as she tried to maneuver under his arm ducking out of his reach, his hand swung around curling around her waist pulling her back into him as the smell of daisies hit him.
"Tell me what you just saw?" she closed her eyes, her back pressed to his body that made her unable to think or concentrate.
"I am drowning... I could drown in you and you wouldn't notice" as his arm wrapped around her tighter.
"And what if I did notice? What if I didn't want you to drown in anyone else?" she had looked down at his arm wrapped around her waist, as his other hand caught her eye she had seen it balled into a fist holding onto her dress.

"Jin what are you doing here?"
"I just needed to see you" as his arm got tighter around her, she had relaxed into him which made him at ease too as he spun her around. She stared up at him as she waited for him to decide what was going to happen next.
"Devyn, it's late. Sleep time" as she creased her eyes, she hadn't forgotten the night at his place that had felt so normal.
"I don't have a big bed you know?" as it dawned on him that he had been here but never really come to see her, she had always gone to him.
"It's ok" as he pulled her along she giggled
"Do you know which one mine is?" as he nodded.
"Lexie has told us enough for me to know" as he stopped in front of her door "the blue paneling had traces of silver and purple.

He looked around her room as he got a glimpse of her, cds and books littered her shelves. She was messy, her clothes lined on her chair and desk as she quickly picked up things. She had a giant plushie sitting on her bed.

"What's his name?" as he looked at her.
"What makes you think he has one?"
"I don't know call it instinct after 10 years"
"Cooky" as he eyed the pink furry bunny on her bed "why?"
"Don't like the idea of you spending a night with him" as she chuckled.
"I have seen you leave with plenty of girls"
"But it's never overnight" as she stopped in her tracks, just momentarily that she hoped he didn't noticed her brief pause.
"I will move him to Lexi's room" as she walked over to him picking up Cooky, his arms wrapped around her waist as she bent over.

"Just a minute" as her hand rested on his shoulder running down his back. She found herself stroking his hair as he nuzzled into her. She pressed her lips to his forehead as he looked at her "just give me a minute" as she picked up Tattoon Cooky and dropped him into Lexie's room.

"Do you call me the morning after?" as he shook his head, he knew what she had meant
"I wouldn't do that to you" as she looked him in the eyes, she laid next to him still but watching him for his reactions. When she spent the night, he still made calls and something about it for a moment felt normal.
"Do you love Malic?" as she thought about it, even if she had said no he knew her pause meant she wasn't sure.
"Does that matter?" as he shook his head and it really didn't anymore as he was the one by her side when he really needed her.
"Go to sleep" as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling herself into him. She nuzzled into his chest, the warmth he felt that came from her for 10 years. That got him through some of their hardest times.
"The person hasn't known I have loved them for years" as she drifted off. His thoughts that turned into dreams, his fears that flew away with the wind and his worries that melted away under her touch.
