*Chapter 34*

-Mistys Pov-

Ignoring the eyes from the guards, I walked past them and pushed open the large, creaky, old wooden doors and walked into the large room. With my loud entrance, currently all attention was on me but nobody dared commented, well besides my "father".

"Misty! Your late and disturbed the meeting" growled my father.

In response I just shot him a death glare. I had walked into the middle of a meeting with the council. As I walked past everyone by the long table of council members, I made my way up to the front of the room and sat on my thrown seat, the smallest of the four that were lined up. The largest was the middle right, where my father sat. To his left was the second largest, where my mother once sat. The third largest, the one to my father's right, was where my older brother, Thorne, sat and then there was mine, left of where my mother sat.

My father, king, murdered my mother, queen, after she gave birth to me, when he found out I was merely female, he flipped and murdered her, blaming it was her fault that she had a girl instead of a precious boy like my brother Thorne. He never loved her, he only chose her to birth the next king for when he was to step down from the throne. That's something he's going to hate. He loves the power he has as king but in the demon kingdom, every century, the king has to step down and the next in line has to step up and take the throne.

Why my father didn't want me a girl and murdered my mother? Well out of the whole demon population, only ten of the percentage of demons is female and the rest male. Females are looked down on, weak compared to the males and not evil enough. That's not how I see it. All demons are evil, they don't have emotions and they certainly aren't capable of love.

What makes me special? What makes me any different to the rest? Like vampires, demons don't have souls, their empty. That's what makes me different, special; I'm the only demon with a soul. As pure as a humans, werewolf's even an angel's soul. But my soul holds locked powers; only one being can unlock them and only work with theirs. My soul sister is the only one who can unlock my powers. Like her I can talk to my soul, like how a werewolf talks to their wolf or how a human talks with their conscience.

Like her soul, mine has risen and fallen every 100,000 years but they never crossed paths. Unlike her soul, mine chose immortals where hers chose mortals. I don't know why but I think my soul sister likes a challenge. She wanted to see what fate chose for her every time she rose unlike my soul, I-she was always the cautious one, liked to know what happened next instead of living life on the edge and blind with the next corners of life.

I knew I was going to finely meet her in this life. She's found her soul mate. She will no longer fall and have to wait centuries to rise again. He broke that part of the curse, one where the elders-the first of all four supernatural beings sacrificed their lives to curse her to a never ending of rising and falling across the time of eternity but they didn't ever think that she'd be capable of loving, loving so strongly that their love has become the strongest in the history of love. Stronger than any spell, curse, magic and even the souls of the first werewolf and angel when they roamed this earth.

I might not know what two supernatural beings she is now but I know she's the strongest she's ever been. I can faintly feel her power and it'll only become stronger when she's back at her mate's side but most when we connect with each other. Our powers will bound together, even though I won't possess the ones she has but I will become stronger then I am now.

"-humans are dropping quickly".

The mention of humans by a council member brought me out of my thoughts. For years I've read books from the humans. I knew how humans lived and I so desperately wanted a life like theirs instead of being stuck in hell and not allowed to leave.
