Annika is late again. Cedric scrolls through his phone as he waits for her. After about ten minutes, Annika arrives.
ANNIKA
Sorry. Lost track of time
CEDRIC (smiling)
It's okay. Let's order?
Annika and Cedric talk about how their day went. Cedric shares that his boss commended him for the proposal his team made. Annika smiles as she listens to Cedric. She then shares how they have a lot of work to do, but it pays off since their boss would always praise them for it.
Annika's phone kept on buzzing, but she chooses to ignore it. However, Cedric notices it. He stops eating.
CEDRIC
Your phone is buzzing
ANNIKA (glancing at her phone)
Yeah. Let it be
CEDRIC
That might be important though
ANNIKA
It's my boss.
CEDRIC
You can answer it
ANNIKA (smiling before answering the call)
Yes, sir?
Cedric tilts his head to the side as Annika's smile slowly disappears.
ANNIKA (CONT'D)
Noted, Sir. I'll be on my way
CEDRIC
You're leaving?
ANNIKA (reaching for his hand, smiling sadly)
Yeah. We need to finish our proposal tonight
CEDRIC (sighing)
Okay
ANNIKA
Love...
CEDRIC (faking a smile)
I understand. You can go ahead, I'll finish this before paying
ANNIKA (leaning for a kiss)

CEDRIC

Cedric watches as Annika leaves the place. He heaves a sigh and smiles sadly.
