"Huh- Danny is out sick too... Maybe they caught the same thing?" She suggested, the two of them approaching the entrance and heading inside. They still had to head into the elevator past all the professional offices before they would be in smosh territory.

Damien hummed. "Well, I hope you don't get sick- it would be a shame not having you around." He admitted.

Y/N's heart started to race, she wasn't sure if he was flirting or just being kind. Nonetheless, if her face wasn't hot before, it certainly was now. "Same." She blurted. "I mean- same as in- I hope you don't get sick." She grimaced. "I mean I hope I dont get sick either but- yeah." She stared at the floor as they got into the elevator.

The two of them reached for the button for their floor at the same time, their finger's brushing. "Jesus your hands are freezing!" Damien cursed. He reached for her hand out of habit, taking her fingers into his palm and trying to warm them up,

He was beyond comfortable with her and if it wasn't for y/n'S crush, she wouldn't have batted an eye at the action.

Alarms were ringing in her head and all she could think about was that he was touching her.

Pulling her hand away nervously, she gulped. "Yeah- I tend to be cold most of the time." She shrugged it off. As the doors were closing, a voice called out- Damien holding the elevator as Shayne stepped in.

"Hey- Hey-" he greeted the both of them. Judging from the bag of takeout in his hands, Y/N assumed he was returning from lunch- or that he was just about to start lunch.

"You guys are soaked-" he noted.

Damien nodded. "Yeah- Y/N got the worst of it." He mentioned.

Smiling awkwardly, YN nodded again. "It would have been worse if Damien didn't offer his umbrella.

Shayne sent his friend a knowing glance, his lips tugging into a gentle smile. Thankfully with Shayne in the elevator, he acted as a buffer between Y/N and Damien- giving her the ability to focus on something other than what she'll say to Damien next.

The elevator ride became a jumble of noise as Y/N rattled around inside her own mind. She could barely focus on anything as the doors finally opened- signalling her way to freedom. She gave an overly enthusiastic goodbye to both Shayne and Damien before taking of disappearing from their field of view within a moment's notice.

Shayne furrowed his brows as he looked at Damien with a confused expression. "Did you finally ask her out?"

His friend couldn't help but pout. "I didn't get the chance-"

All through the day, Y/N did her best to avoid Damien, She felt incredibly awkward for how she acted in the elevators. Something about him just got her so flustered and nervous- something that she was usually not. But any time he was around, her calm and cool self just went entirely out the window.

He was so charming and charismatic that she just couldn't help it. Even on her darkest days, he would pop his head into the crew's lounge and make her smile.

She sat behind the scenes for all the shoots- doing her best to quiet her giggles through out the day. The smosh cast was incredibly talented and they were some of the most hilarious people she knew. Surprisingly, Y/N was able to stay completely silent when Damien was up for his turn, both in the hot seat and all the times that we was trying to make the rest of the cast spit.

It didn't go unnoticed.

Every time Damien made a joke, he would steal a quick glance towards Y/N as he went back behind the divider with the rest of the cast. He missed seeing her smile and try to hide her giggles- she may have thought that he didn't know- but he always knew that he could make her laugh more than the others.

But as she sat stone cold, he worried that he may have upset her or even made her uncomfortable in the elevator that morning.

He had finally built up enough courage to ask her out, after months of planning it- and post toning the event. Albeit that made him incredibly nervous, he started getting incredibly flirtatious and he may have come on too strong and put her off.

For the rest of the shoot, he kept trying to steal a glance, hoping that eventually he would get Y/N to crack- but sadly, her face remained blank- her gaze seemingly meeting everywhere but him.

As the day came to a close, Y/N helped the crew pack up the equipment for the day, making small talk with a few of the camera crew as she was getting ready to leave. The rain had yet to let up so the group decided to call a quit's early.

Sometimes they could have shifts lead into the early night, but Sarah was concerned seeing as the storm seemed to be growing harsher by the hour. She wanted everyone to come back to work in one piece, so if that meant they lost a few hours one day, she was willing to take that risk.

Ian agreed as he was the higher up and had more of a say on the matter. Driving in the storm was going to be tough as it was, adding LA traffic on top of that was ridiculous.

"Hey Y/N!" Damien called out, as the girl was heading through the office. He jogged up to her, his backpack swung around his shoulders as he met her pace.

Y/N's heart felt the familiar patter, her pulse quickening as she cleared her throat. "Hey."

"I wanted to apologize if I made you uncomfortable in the elevator today- I really didn't mean to-" Damien spoke seriously. "I had intentions of asking you out... maybe for coffee or something like that- but I think I misread the situation." He admitted.

The girl's eyes widened. "You were going to ask me out?" She gasped.

Damien smiled sheepishly. "Yeah... I was- I'm sorry, I just thought we had a mutual sort of affection thing." He scratched the back of his neck.

Y/N smiled brightly, much to the man's confusion. "Ask me." She looked at him, her eyes twinkling like Damien had seen so many times before.

Furrowing his brows, he didn't really know what to say. "Ask you?" He choked.

Y/N nodded. "Ask me out on a date. I promise You'll like the answer." She teased.

Damien grinned. His nerves seemed to wash off his back as he straightened himself out. "Do you wanna rabbles coffee this Saturday?"

The girl nodded. "I would love too. It's a date." She grinned.

They stood in front of each other for a moment before Damien finally broke. "God, you have no idea how long I've wanted to ask you out-" he admitted. "You make me so nervous."

Y/N rolled her eyes. "Why do you think I practically ran out of the elevator today? Every time I'm near you I turn into this girly, bubbly mess and I don't know how to stop it..." she sighed. "I really like you, but that is not the person I am.' She promised him.

Damien smiled. As they headed to the parking lot, he opened his umbrella and held it over her head. "Oh, before I forget." He hummed, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a Blue raincoat. "For your drive home." He offered.

Smiling gratefully, Y/N took the jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders. The coat was three times too large for her- given that Damien liked his clothes oversized, so it was almost gigantic on Y/N. "Thank you... I Promise to return it in good condition."

Letting out a string of chuckled, Damien walked Y/N to her car- the umbrella never faltering. "I'm counting on it. Drive safe okay?" He gave her a short hug as she climbed into her car.

"See you Saturday!"

Damien nodded. "It's a date!" He flushed. As he watched her drive off, he couldn't help but feel content. With the rain pouring down hard on him, and the winds whipping at his face, there was only one things on his mind. He could really get used to seeing Y/N in his clothes, and calling her 'mine'
