The cool spring breeze rolled through Philly, kids running around the park. The melody of an icecream truck growing more and more distant as it continued on its route. Sitting on the bleachers of the right side of the triple basketball court, Cookie wiped two year old Andre's sticky melted popsicle hands clean. Thinking if taking him to the playground to run off this incoming sugar high. The sounds of her girls chatting it up filling her ears as she looked around at some of the boys posted up.

She always felt bad dealing near kids, but they had to eat too. They weren't putting crack pipes to mouths or forcing anyone to buy. Her eyes falling back on Dre she smiled softly. It was doing this that they were blessed to find a home to rent. No more hotel and no more shitty apartment. An actual house with 3 bedrooms. No more huddling together in a cold apartment cause bills weren't paid. The two had been saving and saving and finally got here. The bigger place driving Lucious's work ethic more. Posted up leaning against the tall chain link fence he spotted an approaching client. Though this one in particular was about to have a bad day as he dropped the bomb on her.

"Look I told yo nigga he ain't getting shit from me. We dont run on credit. Take yo ass on." Lucious growled, growing more and more irritated by the pushy woman begging for drugs.

"But we paid you."

"The money you owed me plus interest. Go find someone else to deal you. You on the list." Lucious responded, sparking his blunt. Hearing that seemed to piss her off. It meant she was blocked from doing any deals with anyone tied to Lucious.

"The list? Lucious we been down with you for years! You bitching up!"

"Fuck outta my face. You cut off, that's it. Move along bitch." He snapped, shifting his gaze from her to locate his wife. Spotting her with her girls they locked eyes. Giving her a head gesture and look she read well. Getting up she passed Andre to Carol. Making her way to him.

"Bitch?! I got yo bitch. Yo punk ass going down anyways. Yo music shit, you shit, never gone be shit!" Shay spat, Cookie face twisted hearing the bitch running her mouth. Walking up to Lucious she pecked his lips then faced the girl.

"What's the issue?" Cook questioned, looking the girl up and down.

"She on the list." Lucious answered, dusting some ash that hit his pants off.

"So it's like this babe. Take your ass to the Eastside and go get that weak shit. We done." Cooke voiced, crossing her arms.

"Yall ain't nothing but Frank's lap dogs."

"Well bark bitch. Go on." Lucious responded, with an eyeroll.

"Make me then." Shay snapped back. Lucious whistled shaking his head. Some folk just didnt have no sense at all. He wasnt a fan of woman beating but he didnt have to when it came down to it.

"Cook." He simply muttered, with a nod Cookie took off her big hoop earrings. Stepping out her sandals while doing so. Wishing she had went with her gut this morning and put on her sneakers. Holding out his hand Lucious took her earrings. Smoking as he watched the two women square up. Cookie gave her a fair chance to get ready for an ass whupping.

"You ready ho?" Shay called out, Cookie shrugged giving a nonverbal answer. As per usual it seemed like the whole hood was watching. Wondering if today would be the day someone knocked Cookie on her ass. It had only happened one time but she got right back up and went another round. Lucious deeply enjoyed watching, he took pride in Cookie like no other. Too many times he was on the receiving end of those cement fists.

He grinned as Shay rushed Cookie who side stepped then tripped the girl. Cookie didn't do none of that windmill bullshit these tricks did. Nor did she pull hair unless you were literally being dragged. When the girls finally did collide it wasn't pretty by no means. He'd give Shay props for holding her ground for a while.
