Mai ran around but Y/n was nowhere to be found.
She then walked into the forest until she caught a glimpse of the girl's hair.
"K-Kanako!" - Mai yelled, catching her attention.
Y/n jumped off the tree branch and stood in front of her.
"What do you want?" - Her emotionless expression and voice were back.
The Zenin looked away as a slight tint of blush was on her cheeks. She was embarrassed.
"I-is it... Is it true?" - Mai asked.
"If what is true?" - Y/n rose a brow.
"That you were worried about me that day."
"When you were captured?" - The girl asked.
The Zenin nodded.
"Yes, it is true. No matter how you behave towards me, I can't let anyone get hurt. Also I am sure you aren't the person you tend to be." - Y/n crossed her arms.
Mai's eyes widened.
"I-I'm sorry." - She apologized, bowing down her head.
Y/n widened her eyes slightly but soon a soft smile appeared on her face.
"It's alright." - The girl said softly.
Mai looked up at her, tears welled up in her eyes.
"W-will you... Forgive me?" - The Zenin asked with a trembling voice.
Y/n got closer to her and hugged her tightly. - "I forgive you." - She said with a gentle voice as she closed her eyes.
The girl's tears fell down her cheeks as she hugged Y/n back.
She held the back of her head with her right hand and petted her back with the other one.
After a few minutes, Mai had calmed down.
"Do you want to head back?" - Y/n asked with a smile as she pulled away.
The Zenin nodded as they headed back to the gym.
Some of the students were out, waiting for them to return.
"Ah, Kanako!" - Hinata exclaimed as soon as he saw her.
The girl waved at him as they got closer.
"What happened?" - Kamo asked.
"Hmm, lets say Mai got a new friend." - Y/n answered with a smile.
Mai's eyes widened as a soft smile appeared soon after.
"Eh, did you make up your relationship?" - Miwa asked.
The two nodded as they looked at each other.
"This is good." - Gojou said with a small smile as he appeared on the door.
"But didn't you know about Shinseichi-san being worried about you, Zenin-san?" - Hinata tilted his head.
"You can call me Mai and no, I didn't know." - She said in a saddened tone.
"But what was the problem between you two? Were you fighting like me and Kageyama?" - Hinata kept on asking.
"You are bothering them too much, Hinata!" - Sugawara scolded him.
The two girls chuckled.
"It's alright. We had some arguments but it's all in the past." - Y/n said with a soft voice, making Mai slightly widen her eyes again.
