nini widened her eyes as she looked down at her phone "how the hell did he-"
"nini?!" seb's voice from the living room boomed, catching the girl's attention as she quickly took the packets of crisps as she made her way out of the kitchen
"hey, everything okay?" gina asked concerned when seeing the her best friend's distressed and confused facial expression
nini opened her mouth "um-r-ricky-he ended it."
"i thought you and ricky broke up months ago-OW!" carlos exclaimed from getting cut off by ashlyn punching him in the arm
the brunette just shook her head however, giving her phone to gina as carlos, seb and ashlyn all jumped towards the curly-haired girl to get a good look at the screen
nini brought her hand up to bite her nails nervously as she saw her best friend's expression slowly change from intrigue to shock and surprise
"they ended the deal?!" ashlyn gasped
"well it was about time!" carlos groaned, gina nodding
"w-what does he think i'm going to do?" nini questioned, suddenly anxious as she started pacing back and forth "i-i can't-does this mean he's going to tell the truth?"
"neens-"
"i don't think we can just get back together can we? what about the rumors? oh my god-jenn is going to kill me guys-"
"okay," gina sighed as she clapped her hands together to get nini's attention "nini, take a breather."
the girl took a deep breath as she felt the room get stuffy, shaking her hands nervously
"why don't you just go to his apartment and talk to him?" seb suggested "then you can be on the same page?"
"you think?" nini asked them "i mean...isn't it a little...soon?"
"he obviously did this last night for you neens," ashlyn chuckled "go to his apartment and talk to him. maybe you can get back together?"
"i-i don't know about the last part because of jenn, you know?" nini said, the others nodding before the girl took a deep breath "but...yeah, i'm...i'm going to go talk to him."

ricky stood behind his kitchen counter as he prepared himself a sandwich, letting out a small sigh of relief that the public relationship with lily was over...
now he just needed to talk to nini.
he wasn't stupid, he knew that they wouldn't get back together with the snap of a finger. there was a lot that needed to be worked out, but he now needed to talk to jenn before the meeting to get through to her.
as ricky finished up making his food he heard the doorbell ring, his head lifting up in confusion as he quickly made his way out of the kitchen towards the front door, opening it up to reveal the girl standing there
he opened up his mouth and let out a breath "hi..."
