Chapter 16

'Nothing, eat your food!' Chaeyoung doesn't want to give her friends any details,

Chaeyoung's eyes just naturally drawn to Mina from the other table. She can't stop staring at her, even forgetting to eat her own food.

Jungyeon who saw that, laughs at Chaeyoung, 'She might melt, you know, from all your staring...'

'Why don't we just join their table? She suggests,

'Should we?' Chaeyoung wants it badly,

'Yeah, we should! I also want to ask that Squirrel Unnie if there is something wrong with her eyes...cause...she winks at eveyone.' Tzuyu speaks with her poker face,

They all laugh at her, 'And that's bothering you because...? Dahyun teasingly asks,

'I'm just wondering, that's all!' Tzuyu answers, still with her poker face.

The four of them proceed to walk to Mina and her friends's table.

'Can we share this table with you four?' Chaeyoung asks, straight to the point.

'Of course!' Mina, Sana, Momo and Nayeon all speak at once.

Chaeyoung immediately takes the seat right next to Mina, Tzuyu sits next to Sana, Dahyun next to Momo, Jungyeon next to Nayeon of course.

'Tzu, don't you have a question for Sana unnie?' Chaeyoung playfully reminds Tzuyu,

Sana looks at Tzuyu with questioning eyes. Tzuyu stares at those eyes for a whole 10 seconds, then looks away, speaks nonchalantly 'I've already gotten my answer. There is nothing wrong with those eyes. They're just...pretty!'

Chaeyoung, Dahyun and Jungyeon share a knowing look, while Mina, Sana, Momo and Nayeon are confusingly looking at each other, not sure what is going on.

From then on, the eight of them always have lunch together. Day by day, they get to know each other a lot more, getting very comfortable around each other, and become a group of close friends that everyone in the school is jealous of.

Weeks went by fast, they are now having their mid year break.

Chaeyoung is at the convenience store near her apartment, looking for an afternoon snack,

'But I want an ice cream!'

'I know, I want it too but we don't have enough money to buy for our siblings as well. It's not fair for them if only us get to eat ice cream'

'How about we don't tell them?'

'No, that's not nice!'

Chaeyoung heard this conversation of what seems to be between two little girls. She thought it was cute, so she decides to walk over. Standing infront of the ice cream freezer is two young girls around 8 or 9 years old,

'Hi girls, how about I help you pay for your sibling's ice creams? I'm Chaeyoung unnie by the way. I'm not a bad person.' Chaeyoung introduces herself,

The two girls who seem to be quite mature for their age, look at Chaeyoung up and down. They then nod their heads at each other, decided that Chaeyoung looks nice and friendly, they speak,

'Nice to meet you, Chaeyoung unnie. I'm Lia, and this is Ruyjin' They both bow at Chaeyoung,

'Chaeyoung unnie, are you sure you want to pay for us and our siblings's ice creams? Ruyjin asks,
