Chapter 4

Chaeyoung's POV

2 weeks later, at Tullamarine international airport in Melbourne, Australia

Today is the day of my flight back to Korea. I'm here at the airport with my parents and Somi. She insisted to come to say goodbye. Her parents of course didn't allow her to come to Korea. I kinda feel relieved knowing that she won't be coming with me, I mean her whole life is here.

My parents have ended the contract with the tenant who rented our apartment in Seoul, so I can stay there when I get back. They also put enough money into my bank account which will be more than enough for all my needs. My parents are the best, we might not be rich, but they always make sure that I live comfortably.

After checking in my luggages, we talk for awhile,

'Mom...dad...I should get going now' I says, my eyes are starting to get teary.

Mom cries 'Chaeyoung ah, my baby, make sure to always eat on time, never skip meals. Don't come home late. Don't hang out with bad people...'

Dad holds her hand 'Hye Soo ah, our Chaeyoung is an independent kid, she knows how to look after herself, she will be fine. Don't you worry too much.'

I nodded 'I will be fine, mom, I promise to look after myself well. I will call everyday' I give them each a hug and a kiss on their cheeks.

I then turn to Somi 'Somi ah, take care, I will get going now'

She gives me a tight hug while crying 'I'm still not giving up on persuading my parents to let me go to Korea. Not now, but one day, Chae, one day I will come looking for you'

I just smile on that and return the hug 'take care, I will miss you'

I wave goodbye to her and my parents, then proceed to walk to my boarding gate. Korea, here I come.

I walk out of the arrival hall of Incheon international airport and instantly welcomed by the loud scream of Kim Dubu, her skin is still as white as tofu, and a very tall Yoda who is currently looks like she is very embarrassed by this screaming Dubu.

I run to them, we grouped hug.

Dahyun looks at me up and down 'well well, what's in the water in Australia, our Smol bean is getting so pretty. With your blond shoulder length hair, your pretty face, your confidence aura, and this cool leather jacket, typical girl crush image' Dahyun says while dramatically gesture at each thing that she lists

I lift my face up proudly, flipping my hair 'What can I say?!'

We both burst out laughing after that.

Tzuyu looks at us unamused 'I agree, everything about you seems to improve, Chae, except the height'

Dahyun laughs even louder. I glare at Tzuyu, this girl is still as savage as ever.

Dahyun drives us back to my apartment. They help me bring all my luggages inside. They then leave knowing that I'm very tired from a long flight. They will come back tomorrow to celebrate our reunion.

I unpack my belongings, then wash up and go straight to sleep. I'm just so tired.

Next day comes with Dahyun and Tzuyu bring lots of foods, snacks and drinks to my place. We eat happily just like old time, talk and laugh about our memories from the past. We then watch movies together until late, with lots of bickering but end up with lots of laughter. I'm so happy to have these two, I'm a lucky one.

Two weeks later, the day of the entrance test at Kirin high school. Dahyun and Tzuyu pick me up again, their houses are close by so they always go to school together, but my place is a bit far from school. Dahyun basically has to go the opposite direction to fetch me. I have to get my own transportation before school starts, it will be hard for Dahyun to have to fetch me every day.

Kirin high school is very nice, big and modern. I really like it. Today, in this room, there are around 20 transferees including me, Dahyun and Tzuyu. We will be taking the entrance test.

I feel great after the test, I think I did well. Dahyun and Tzuyu also did well. We are expecting good results.

We will get our results next week, then 2 weeks after that we will officially start our new journey in Kirin high school.
