We were all lined up in front of the flag across from each other. I obviously HAD to be across from McGill. We stared each other down, 'Bitch' I mouthed at him. He gave that look of 'you're gonna regret that. Ha, wimp.

The crowd was singing the national anthem, but I couldn't hear them I was too high on adrenaline for that. (or performance-enhancing drugs like the hawks. I find myself real funny) Today is the day I show them that I am not a loser.

"Welcome to the Minnesota State Pee Wee Championship. Have we got a game for you, today. The Hawks, coached by Jack Reilly."

"Come on, let's get fired up!", Bombay told us.

We all put our hands in. "Quack, quack, quack, quack! Quack, quack, quack, quack!", the crowd joined in, "Quack, quack, quack, quack! Quack, quack, quack, quack! Gooooo Ducks!"

"LET'S GO!", I screamed.

I watched from the bench. I couldn't watch anymore, we were getting bulldozed. I don't know why Coach didn't put in Fulton or me, but I think there might be one? Yes! Banks finally got it past center ice.  They got it again.

"Dammit! They're being assholes out there Coach, why aren't they calling anything!", I screamed at him.

"I don't know, Adrian. But we have to play it fair."

"But playing it fairly gets us nowhere. No wonder we're losers.", I muttered.

They scored, ugh. Then McGill scored it. I didn't even think he had enough brain cells to score. Whatever. And guess who scored, again. Ugh, just put me in. The first quarter ended.

"Don't be scared of them, Ducks. That's what they want. Keep your heads up. Play proud. Also, change of plans, McKay you're in. Fill in wherever don't let them score. Let's fly! C'mon, let's go!"

Meanwhile on the other bench.

"I want you to drop Banks like a bad habit. I want him out of the game. Feel free to do whatever you want to that Mckay girl, too. Even though she's a Duck, she has the same strength as one of us. Finish them off. You got it?"

"Yeah."

Back to the ducks.

Charlie gets it and gets a breakaway. I check one of the Hawk's into the boards, it's not long till I get pushed down though. Charlie passes it to Banks, he shoots and scores. then he gets pushed into the goalpost head-on.

Then me and Larson noticed he wasn't getting up.

"Hey. Hey! Adam, are you okay?", Larson asked him. He didn't respond. Larson turned around.

"What'd you do?", he asked McGill.

"My job.", he responded. That made me angry.

"What the hell, asshole!", I pushed him.

"Hey, calm down sweet-cheeks, that's how we deal with traitors."

"He might be a traitor, but he is a way better person than you ever will be. Have fun in hell.", I turned around and skated over to him on the stretcher.

"Did it go in?" He asked me.

"Hell yeah, dude."

He looked at Jesse, "Jesse, do me a favor...
