The plan was to wait.

In a way, it was a good thing. They were all really tired and running solely on adrenaline, but when that adrenaline gave out, they just wanted to sleep.

Momo and Jiro leaned on the wall next to each other.

Shine and Aizawa sat with Eri in between, Eri's head on Aizawa's lap. At least she seemed calmer. Shine patted her back, trying to be reassuring.

The two villains leaned on the wall a ways away from the heroes.

The boys huddled in a different group.

Miss Joke lay on her back with her arms under her head and stared at the ceiling.

Mirko and Hawks didn't say anything. Mirko paced like a caged animal. Hawks stared at the wall, lost in his own thoughts.

Eri stirred eventually and mumbled, "I'm scared."

"We all are," Jiro muttered, not realizing she said it out loud.

"It's okay to be scared," Shine said softly, "Some things are scary. But we don't need to let it bother us."

"Sing the song," Eri pleaded.

"More songs?" Kaminari said, "Which song is this?"

"Oh...uh, Eri has nightmares a lot..." Shine said slowly, "and we started doing this thing where we'd sing songs until she calmed down."

Momo nodded, remembering Shine giving her the same advice.

"And she really liked this one from this show I used to watch when I was a kid..." Shine said, "Veggie Tales.... I mean, it's silly, but it's good."

"Silly songs are fun," Kaminari said, "You should sing it."

"You'll cringe..." Shine warned.

"Yeah, that's why. I want a distraction." Kaminari was honest.

"Okay..." Shine sighed, "Why not? Let's see. How does it start...?"

"You were lying in your bed..." Eri mumbled.

"Oh, yeah," Shine said, "🎵'You were feeling kind of sleepy...but you couldn't close your eyes because the room was getting creepy.'🎶"

Shoto shot Momo a look that said "Is this supposed to be a comforting song?"

"Were those eyeballs in your closet? Was that Godzilla in the hall? There was something big and hairy casting shadows on the wall..." Shine went on.

Eri listened.

Kaminari agreed, this was a weird choice.

"Now your heart is beating like a drum. Your skin is getting clammy. There's a hundred tiny monsters jumping right into your jammies..." Shine drawled.

Aizawa gave her a look that said "this is what you've been using to calm down my child?!"

"So, what are you going to do?" Shine said in a real talking voice.

"I'm going to call the police," Eri said like she was reciting it.

"No, you don't have to do that because..." Shine gestured like it was a cue, and they both started singing together. "God is bigger than the boogie man. He's bigger than Godzilla or the monsters on TV. Oh, God is bigger than the boogie man, and He's watching out for you and me!"

Kaminari started chuckling at the silliness. This was kind of comforting...because it was so...childish, maybe. Made it seem less dire.

Shine and Eri went on in the trade off of singsong lines.
