,,You went to heaven?! But I thought you were banned? Shouldn't you have died?"

Lucifer looked confused. How did she know all that? ,,I have the internet." And the spawn rolled her eyes again.

,,Well, yes. But do you remember the story about my ring?"

She nodded and came to the right conclusion. ,,It has Lilith's immortality in it!"

The devil was proud of the child. ,,Exactly! You truly would make an excellent Detective!"

,,I don't know yet...I still want to be the president of Mars, though!" She grinned.

,,Nothing is impossible, spawn. And since I'm God now, I could try to make some arrangements. After all, in some way, you are the daughter, or step-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. I will see what I can do, but first I need to get my new powers..."

That got her exited. ,,Really? Thank you! So that would make me kind of like a princess, right?"

,,Technically...yes?"

,,Wow, that's awesome!"

,,I'm sure it is. Now, where were we?"

,,Lilith's ring!" Trixie helped out.

,,Right...I was still alive because of the ring. But it only had enough power for one of us left, so I gave it to your mother. Then I died and Chloe came back to life.

Before she was able to kill my brother, Michael, for what he had done, I came back. And now, here we are!" He smiled happily.

,,So there were other angels here? Are they still here? Can I meet them? Do they have wings? Do you have wings? How do they look like? Can I see them?"

But before Trixie could ask any more questions, Lucifer cut her off.

,,I know, child. There is much more to discuss, which is why I am about to arrange a meeting for tomorrow night at LUX."

,,So...like an angel Q&A?" The child asked excitedly.

,,You could put it like that, yes. My sister Azrael is going to be there as well.

So keep your questions for tomorrow! But yes, we have wings. Mine are white. I'll show them to you some time...

But now you should probably get some rest, child."

,,Thank you for coming over, Lucifer! You make a great step-dad!" She smiled at him so sincerely, he almost began to shed tears.

,,No, thank you spawn for being that strong and brave. You are an amazing child, your mother, your father and me are proud of you." That made Trixie smile sadly.

,,At least he is in heaven now, right?" she asked. His smile fell immediately.

,,That's a story for another time, tomorrow perhaps..."

Trixie felt that something was wrong, but she would know what that was about soon enough. She just wanted to enjoy the last moments of that night with Lucifer.

,,Okay..."

The Lightbringer stood up and almost stepped over the doorstep, when two arms swung around him, pulling him into an intense, tight hug.

She needed him, he needed her.

,,Please don't go, Lucifer...I don't want to be alone..." That was everything he needed to hear, to make his way back to her bed and sit down again.

Trixie lay down, her head on his knees, crying.

It hurt to see her like that. He wanted to do something, to help her. Lucifer may not be great at giving people emotional support, but he knew that he just needed to be there for her at that moment.

He lay one hand on her back, the other on her head and began to let her softly.

,,It's okay, child. I'm here. Your mother will be here soon as well. Just hold on, hold on to me.

Let it out. You are the bravest and strongest little human I have ever met. You have been through more than enough. You deserve some rest..."

,,I just want him back...I want to make tacos with him, build unicorn armies...I want to hug him so badly...I miss dad..." And she pulled him tighter.

Lucifer could sense how lost she felt. He wanted to stop the pain for her, but even if he had the power to do so, a wise friend told him once, That pain is, what makes one human. That one needs pain, it's life...

,,Stay with me please? Don't go..." Trixie asked desperately.

,,I won't, I give you my word." And he carefully wrapped the blanket around her.

,,Good night Lucifer, I love you..." the child silently said.

Without another thought, he lay down, close beside her, protective.

,,Good night Beatrice, I love you too..." he answered.

After a while she finally let out peaceful, steady breaths. She finally was asleep.

Lucifer watched her for a while longer, until he himself fell asleep.

After a very long time, both beings, the human child and the Lightbringer, felt protected and safe.
