Chapter 33

"Hey Suna."

He shoves a paper in his bag before glancing down at you, "Yeah?"

"You don't have practice today right?"

"No, why?"

"Let's go to 'Room 4066' today." You say while grabbing his sleeve and dragging him out of the classroom. "And I'm not taking no for an answer."

He laughs lightly before saying, "Wasn't planning on it."

You smile as you walk through the busy halls filled with students who were just as anxious as you were to leave. You feel a bit of excitement take over you while recounting your plan. Feeling your face heat up, you quickly shake it off and direct Suna past the school doors and towards the front gates.

You send a small wave towards your group of friends standing under the tree. They just stare at the two of you, confused on why Suna had a smile on his face while you were basically dragging him off campus.

Once you pass the gates, you let go of Suna's sleeve, still ushering him to follow you.

He obliges as he moves beside you, a comforting silence consuming the both of you.

Time: 2:53 PM

Walking through the familiar entrance, a soothing aura engulfs you and Suna, instantly relaxing you both while walking towards the counter.

A simple jazz tune plays as you tell the cashier your  order. You gesture for Suna to take a seat by the window while you pay for the food, he only nods while making his way over to the usual spot near the window.

After paying, the song The Single Petal Of A Rose by Duke Ellington begins to play, easing away any worries you had left.

Taking a seat, there was still a light tension present between the two of you, but you quickly shove it aside as you make small talk with the green-eyed boy.

It's funny really. How one minute you and Suna can be so awkward with each other over something so simple, and the next you're both going on and on about what water brand is the best. Heads up, it's Fiji water.

Once you hear your name called, you stand up to pick up the order. You set it down and Suna thanks you before indulging in his sandwich, you follow soon after.

While you waited for Suna to finish eating, you started getting a little nervous knowing exactly what would happen after he finished. But it was now or nothing.

"Hey (Y/N)."

"Yeah?"

"Why are we here today?" He asks while reaching for a napkin. "Not that I mind, it was just kinda out of the blue."

Humming in acknowledgment, you rest your chin on the palm of your hand while making eye contact.

"I saw you got my text from yesterday."

Suna stops what he was doing while staring at you with slightly wide eyes. He places the napkin down slowly before giving you his full attention.

"Yeah...I did."

"I got yours." You say while clearing your throat.

"You know, you really are an amazing guy Suna. Sometimes I wonder what you thought of me the day we first met because truthfully I would've just ignored me." You say with a light laugh before continuing.

"Recently I've been trying to find the courage to tell you how I feel but I could never find the right words. But I realized it's easier for me to tell you if I'm straight forward."

You stop to take a deep breath.

"Suna, I really like you. You're genuinely so amazing and even the smallest things you do catch me off guard and make butterflies flutter in my chest." You say with a soft smile.

Suna doesn't say a word. He only blushes and only one thing runs through his mind as he's lost in his own world of thoughts.

'She really does like me.'

It's silent before you give him a soft grin.

"So, do you want to go on a date with me?" You say waiting for his response.

Suna's eyes go wide once those words leave your mouth, he couldn't tell if this was a dream or not. Maybe he'd fallen asleep at school and he was just dreaming. There was no way this was reality.

"Hello? Suna." You say while waving a hand in front of Suna's frozen face. The boy wasn't aware, but he'd been lost in his own thoughts for a good two minutes.

"Huh? Can you repeat that?" He asked, wanting reassurance to make sure he wasn't hearing things.

"I asked if you wanted to go on a date with me." You say with a light laugh.

Suna's face blushes even more and he feels a warm feeling in his chest that makes him smile.

"Of course."

Time: 6:34 PM

"It's getting late, I think we should head back." Suna says while standing up.

"Yeah you're right."

Throwing away your trash, you and Suna walk beside each other as you head towards the exit. Though when he was about to open the door, it slowly opened revealing two familiar figures. One person in particular makes Suna mentally scowl.

"Oh hey guys." Osamu says.

"Hey Osamu." You and Suna say in unison. "Mai." The both of you say while giving her a polite nod.

"Hey guys, it's weird seeing you both here." She says in a polite tone, though anyone could tell it was obviously forced.

"Not really, me and (Y/N) come here all the time." Suna says in a monotone voice.

The tension between Suna and Mai was so dense it could be sliced in half. It was really amusing seeing Suna try and hold back his hatred for the girl. You and Osamu exchanged wary looks and without speaking you both nodded in agreement.

"Well we're going to go order, see you guys tomorrow." Osamu says while placing a hand on Mai's shoulder and gently pushing her towards the counter.

"It was nice seeing you two, hope you enjoy your meals." You say with an awkward grin as you gently push Suna towards the door.

Suna waves towards the two, his once sour mood turns sweet after finally leaving.

You walk out the café and begin to scold Suna though
you weren't really mad as you let a small laugh escape your lips. He just laughed as he led you back home.

Both were so lost in each other's presence that they were oblivious to a pair of eyes watching them.

Back in the café, a girl seething with jealousy watched as (Y/N) and Suna walked out the cafe. She was pretending to listen to what Osamu was saying as she watched the two from the window.

They looked genuinely happy together, only making her jealousy stronger.

'That should be me.' She thought to herself as she forced a smile towards Osamu, in return making the grey haired boy blush.

-Well at least she finally asked him out after 33 chapters.

-School is going to start soon and I'm not ready, at least I'll be done with this story before I go in.

-Hina recently started working at crumble with Atsumu.

-Ginjima almost accidentally hit (Y/N) with a volleyball the previous day and Suna's been sending the boy small glares here and there.

-Yui has three cats.

-Lowkey tired for some reason but I want coffee so yolo.
