When they walked inside the convenience store, everyone saw the mess inside. The light was flickering every so often, several rows of empty shelves were overturned and there were several puddles of dried blood on the floor.

When he left, Zhu Liwei ordered the rest to search for any available food or other necessities they could take back to the base. But everyone returned with their heads shaking. They couldn't even take anything from the convenience store as every shelf was empty.

It caused several people to be disappointed when they saw that their trip would be fruitless.

When the leader of Group A, named Fan Hua, returned, a difficult expression appeared on his face. He immediately reported, "There's some trouble ahead."

"Zombies?"

"No, they're humans."

"Hm.. Lead the way."

"Yes. Follow me."

As the group advanced further, a faint voice rang in their ears. It was incredibly small, as if the owners of the voices were trying to muffle their sound. The group followed Fan Hua, and the closer they were, the louder the sound, accompanied by faint screams and crying.

The group saw the rest of the members of Group A standing in front of the room where the voices came from with a hesitant expression. Once they saw their leader, their eyes beamed as if they finally found their savior.

When the view inside the room was exposed to them, everyone's expressions turned ugly. Chen Hua even blocked Zhi An's views from looking in.

The sounds that they heard previously came from one of the girls who was currently crying as she pleaded for help. The moment the door to their hideout was banged open, the burly man who seemed to be the leader immediately snarled in anger, "Who dare to disturb Lao Zhu's fun?!"

But when twenty or more heads peeked in to see his rigorous activity, the man blushed in embarrassment and anger. He had to stop raping the woman and dumped her aside.

The woman shrieked in pain as her head thumped against the cold floor.

"Who are you?! I'll gouge all of your eyes if you look again!" The burly man threatened. He didn't notice that his fellow subordinates who stood behind him had all pale countenance. They recognized the badge on Zhu Liwei's soldiers and a panicked expression appeared on their faces.

It's a soldier! We're doomed! The men lamented in their hearts.

Zhu Liwei didn't even pay attention to these men, his gaze was directed to those unfortunate young girls who were used as a sex toy by these trashes.

He knew that these men were most probably a group of deserters. They were different from normal civilians and user abilities in a way that they obtained supernatural abilities yet weren't willing to work for the government.

It happened that the convenience stores were also in that area, and the materials and necessities inside were untouched and could last for more than a year.

As long as there were people passing by who wanted to leave ChengDu city, they would be caught by them.

Zhu Liwei's group who saw such men were full of disgust and hatred. As much as they knew the life in the apocalypse wasn't as peaceful as it was before, they still couldn't deny that they wanted to skin these people and hang their bodies upside down.

Zhi An had thought that Zhu Liwei would immediately kill these men, but a surprise expression appeared on his face when he heard his words.

"What do you want in exchange for them?" Zhu Liwei's expression was calm as he said that.

Chen Hua didn't seem surprised that he asked such a question. He always knew that Zhu Liwei was a hypocritical man, one that was willing to kill others for his woman behind closed doors, but also appeared benevolent in front of his subordinates.

Annoyance surged inside his heart when he realized that these group of scum were able to escape unscathed.

Can I just kill him instead? Both Chen Hua and Zhi An narrowed their eyes as their gaze locked on the world's male lead. For once, their thoughts coincided with one another and a killing intent rose within them.
