7. The First I Love You

I don't know why I didn't see the gun,before I ran at him.

Of course it hits the one spot my armor doesn't protect.

"You done f'ed up." I proclaimed as I punched him,but I was weakened.

He pushed me to the ground,and as I backed away. I backed into Redhood.

"One wrong move towards Her,and your worm chow." Redhood barked as he pointed both his guns.

Redhood was now in front of me,the gun men dropped his gun and backed away.

Redhood shot him in the leg, "that's for shooting my Princess bastard." He exclaimed.

Slamming his head back to knock him out,and tie him up.

"You okay babygirl? Where'd you get hit?" Redhood inquired as he took off his helmet.

"Left side,entered through my rib. Exited my shoulder.." I cried.

Jason wrapped me up as best he could,and rushed me back to B.C.

"We need to have Lucius fix you're suit." Jason stated,I was fading in and out.

Everything hurt, next thing I knew I was in the med unit.

On oxygen,concious but unable to feel anything.

Seems I closed my eyes a moment,and suddenly I open my eyes.

I'm back home all wrapped up.

"Did I pass out?" I asked.

Jason answered.  "You were passed out before we even made it to the batcave."

I reiterated. "No I was awake,I saw the oxygen tube,and Alfred. I was awake."

Jason reassured me. "Baby, no you weren't I thought you died in my arms.."

I hugged Jason and said "So it must've been an Astral projection."

Jason nodded, and inquired.

"Need anything babygirl? You're stuck in that bed for 48 hours."

I relented. "2 days,what if I have to go to the bathroom?"

Jason replied. "You hit this button and someone will help you."

I laughed "Ha Babe,you know me and you know I won't do that."

Jason sat by me and said.

"Okay how about this? I'll check on you every hour or so okay."

I replied.

"yes,please. I just don't want to be dependent on anyone I've always been like that."

Jason pulled me in and stated.

"I get that,you're independent. That's a great trait."

I responded."Thank you handsome."

Jason grabbed both my hands and took a deep breath,before he began to speak.

"Angel,I have something to tell you. I'm just gonna come out with it,I love you."

I looked over at Jason with the biggest smile,and inquired.

"Why do you love me?"

Jason answered. "You're a beautiful soul,with a hell of a personality.
You're a kick ass,independent crime fighting woman.
You're whole being is beautiful,and that's why I love you."

I was teary eyed as I said.
"Oh Jason no one has ever said that to me  before. I love you to,all of you."

Jason kissed me and easily laid my excited ass back down.

"I love you,get some rest." Jason demanded cuddling me.

I relented. "Okay,I'm putting on Sleeping Beauty though."

Jason said. "Go right ahead love,I'll watch it with you."

I kissed Jason on the cheek,and exclaimed.

"You're such an amazing man,Jason Peter Todd."

Jason responded. "So are you Angel Martha Wayne."
