One week has past. Wilfred had a change of heart after the night he fought with Ryan. He allowed him more time, but kept his distance so their grief wouldn't be too much.

In the meantime, Wilfred isolated himself in the basement. He had nothing, but only a picture of his beloved fiancé, whom he loved dearly.

Wilfred had hoped to hear him sing. His voice gave him so much life ever since he first heard it. When they practiced together for their band, he would hear him sing as faintly as a feather, and it sounded just like an angel.

After waiting for so long, Wilfred thought he'd never hear the beautiful song that he wrote, or his love sing for him.

It hurt him even more than thinking about his coming death.

(Start song)

Wilfred stood among the basement and started reflecting on everything in his life.

(Wilfred)
Ten long years
Living a mere facade of life
Ten long years
Wasting my time on smoke and noise

In my mind
I hear melodies pure and unearthly
But I find
I can't give them a voice without you

Wilfred sat on the couch and looked into the picture of his fiancé in his hand.

My Ryan, my Ryan
Lost and gone, lost and gone

He stroke his hand on the picture, with tears in his eyes.

He began to think about him, and how much he missed him.

The day starts
The day ends
Time crawls by
Night steals in pacing the floor

The moments creep
Yet I can't bear to sleep
Till I hear you sing

He stood up from the couch, still looking into the face of his love.

And weeks pass
And months pass
Seasons fly
Still you don't walk through the door

And in a haze
I count the silent days
Till I hear you sing once more

And sometimes at night time
I dream that you are there
But wake holding nothing
But the empty air

And years come
And years go
Time runs dry
Still I ache down to the core

My broken soul
Can't be alive and whole
Till I hear you sing once more

Wilfred closed his eyes and clutched the picture in his chest.

And music, your music
It teases at my ear
I turn and it fades away
And you're not here!

He looks up into the air; filled with frustration and sadness.

Let hopes pass!
Let dreams pass!
Let them die!
Without you, what are they for?

I'll always feel
No more than halfway real
Till I hear you sing!

Once more!
