Tommy and Salem were at the bowling alley and Tommy was now realising exactly why Salem avoided competitive situations. she was nightmarishly competitive.
"you're cheating!" Salem shouted.
Tommy rolled his eyes, "it's bowling! you cant exactly cheat without it being obvious."
"still cheating." she mumbled.
Tommy chuckled and moved towards the lane to take his go. Salem pouted like a child as Tommy got yet another strike. he was definitely cheating, tommy wasn't good at things.
"bet you wish you were as cool as me." Tommy taunted.
"you're such an ass. it's like you don't want a girlfriend."
Tommy shrugged, "i'll be nice when i actually ask you to be my girlfriend."
after their game of bowling they went to kfc, Tommy is classy like that. Salem was busy eating her fries but Tommy was more focused on actually asking Salem to be his. he just kept glancing around.
"are you gonna eat, dumbass?" Salem not so graciously said, stuffing another fry in her mouth.
Tommy smiled. remind him again why this is the girl he decided to fall for? He let out a short sigh, his fingers tapping on the table.
"i want you to be my girlfriend." Tommy's words came out in a jumble, "be my girlfriend. please."
Salem briefly looked up, "okay." she shrugged before grabbing a chicken leg from the bucket.
"okay? that's it?"
Salem nodded sarcastically, placing the chicken down with a sigh, "you literally can't even hide the fact you love me. i mean i get i'm amazing and all but atleast be subtle. so yeah i'll be your girl because i guess i kinda love you too. even though you're really stupid and loud and used to be my worst enemy, i like you anyway. so yeah i'm your girlfriend. deal with it."
"oh." Tommy furrowed his brows before smiling, "okay. cool." he hummed, "does that mean i can kiss you?"
Salem let out a breath of laughter, "yeah. whenever you want."
Tommy leaned forward and gave the girl a quick kiss on the lips. it was short and sweet but it was all Tommy needed to realise how happy he was. it was going to go right this time.
