The lethal fan.......

Start from the beginning

In the night, Madhushree and her brother were in the drawing room, watching TV. Lata and Malini were also in the same room but their presence or absence, certainly makes no difference.
"Chota Bheem movies have better content than Bollywood!!!!" Mohan chuckled and madhushree too.
"There was a time when Bollywood had the best content, but now..........!!!! What to do when you just want to make easy money!!!!" he sighed, stirring his soup. Mohan was extremely fond of home made soups and that's why madhushree always makes some for him, at least once in a day.
"Madhu, my head is throbbing!!! Go make some coffee for me!!!" Lata said in her cold voice while flipping through the pages of the magazine. Madhushree rose up but was abruptly pulled down by a gentle hold around her wrist. She gasped.
"My taste buds are craving, go make some greens for me mother!!!" Mohan's tone mimicked his mother and Lata was left furious with his tone.
"Is this how you talk to your mother???" she yelled.
"And is this how you talk to your daughter???" and the exchange began.
"I wasn't being rude....."
"So do I...."
"If she'll make a cup of coffee for me she won't fall sick!!!!!"
"And if you make some greens for me you also won't die!!!!"
"Mind your tongue....."
"You mind your attitude!!!!"
"She is my daughter and children should serve their mothers......"
"Likewise, you are my mother and mothers are expected to be devoted to her children......."
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! My head is throbbing, don't argue with me.........just ask her to make a coffee for me!!!!!"
"That's what I am saying, my taste buds are craving, don't argue with me!!!!! Go and make some greens for me!!!!"
"Fine, I'll make my coffee myself!!!" Lata yelled as she stormed out of the room and Mohan smirked in triumph. Malini glared at him in disdain.
"What!!!!! Just go and iron my clothes, if you don't want me to stop bearing your expenses!!!!" he muttered folding his arms and malini stamped her phone on the couch. She muttered curses under her breath as she stormed towards his room to iron his clothes. Madhushree narrowed her lids at him.
"This is not right bhaiya!!!!! You can't behave like this with them!!!!" she whined.
"Madhu, if Dad would've been alive, he must also have behaved like this with them!!!! Mother is a drama queen, if her head was seriously hurting she would've retired to her room for a nap!!!! They all want to take advantage of your innocence.......you don't retort back and that's why they think you are weak!!!! Madhu, they might be our own blood but they have nothing to do with us. Mom and Malini, they both are selfish..........but trust me, as long as I'm with you, nothing can hurt you!!!!" he said. Madhushree smiled. A minute later, probably, the doorbell ranged. Madhushree got up and strode towards the door. She softly shoved the door open to find no one on the door. She frowned as she felt it was a runaway ring, however when her eyes fell on the ground, she found a massive suitcase. She glanced around to find if anyone who might share a nexus with the suitcase is present. But there was no one, besides for the street dogs.
"Bhaiya, please come here!!!" she yelled from the door and Mohan quickly strode towards the door.
"What happened???" he asked casually. Madhushree pointed down and he glanced down to find a big suitcase.
"A suitcase????" he muttered.
"I hope there's no bomb inside!!!!" madhushree was scared. Mohan sat on his knees to search for any address or something similar on the trunk. But the trunk was devoid of any address besides for a tiny sheet of paper on which 'To Madhu' was inked in bold letters. Mohan furrowed his brows as sending parcels in this fashion was pretty odd.
"It's for you.........let's take it in!!!" he muttered as he clenched the handle in his fist and tried dragging it inside. But the trunk was absolutely heavy and therefore he had to take madhu's aid to drag it inside. Lata and Malini were back in the drawing room when the brother-sister duo dragged the suitcase into the drawing room.
"What's this????" Lata asked sipping on her bitter coffee. She was a terrible cook, positively. Mohan and madhushree gasped for air after bringing the trunk into the house.
"This is what rational people call as a suitcase!!!!" Mohan panted and lata frowned at him.
"Let's see why is it so heavy!!!!" madhushree said and Mohan nodded. He carefully sat on his knees and very gently unzipped the zipper of the trunk, so as to avoid explosion if it's a bomb inside. After gently zipping it open, he cautiously opened the suitcase. As soon as the suitcase was open, the shrieks echoed in the drawing room. Lata's coffee mug fell on the ground and broke into pieces, malini was dumbfounded, madhushree was screaming and sobbing and Mohan was gaping in horror. The contents of the suitcase, comprised of a mutilated body of someone madhushree knew as Amit. His body was butchered skilfully into pieces, and the suitcase contained the butchered parts of his body. The condition of the body was so pathetic that it clearly hinted of a heinous hatred someone had against this guy. His eyes were plucked out, arms and legs were chopped brutally and on the whole, the body was dismembered.
"Amit...........!!!!" madhushree yelled as she sobbed near his mutilated body. Mohan tried consoling her.
"Who could've..........." malini had to seal her trap shut due to an abrupt ringing of madhushree's phone. Mohan's instinct kicked in and he felt it was the killer of Amit. On behalf of madhushree, he picked up the call as she was sobbing badly.
"Madhu.........Madhu......my dear, please listen!!!! Look, I think it's the murderer!!!!!! Just answer the call, we'll record everything and show it to the police!!!!!" Mohan said cupping her face. She was sobbing still she nodded.
"Hello!!!!" her voice was trembling and so were her hands as she grabbed the phone.
"Ro mat madhu......mai tumhe rota hua nhi dekh sakta!!!!!" that menacing voice was back again and madhushree gaped at her brother in terror.
"You............You............!!!!!" madhushree was unable to speak due to the sheer terror that had apparently devoured her wholly. Lata and Malini were speechless at the moment.
"Madhu, please don't cry.............Please!!!! Look, I know you are scared but trust me my love.......this boy was not a good person...........he........he was trying to come in between us........!!!!! How could I've let that happen!!!!! I had to get rid off him!!!!!" his husky voice was terrorising the entire chawla household. Madhushree was more scared than anybody else because obviously this psychopath was behind her.
"We'll inform the police you bastard!!!! I won't let you threaten my sister in this fashion.........You deserve to be behind the bars!!!!" Mohan spat angrily as madhushree hugged him tightly. The man sighed before starting.
"Brother-in-law, please...........ask your sister to forgive me!!!!!! Whatever I did, it's for us.........." his tone shared an uncanny resemblance to a psychopath and Mohan was daunted.
"Nonsense.........I am not your anything!!!!" he hissed through his gritted teeth while madhushree sobbed in his chest.
"You are.............I love madhu and we are going to get married really soon......" The man was confident and madhushree looked at the phone in disdain.
"No no no..........I don't love you............I will never marry you!!!!!! You're a murderer!!!!!" she yelled on the phone, sobbing at the same time. And with that being said, a violent smash was heard on the phone. Something like a glass was apparently smashed or hurled, but it was broken for sure. Madhushree flinched at the sudden smash. She also heard heavy breathing which was a sign of his mad demeanour.
"Tum meri mohabbat ho madhu...........akhir kaise samjhau tumhe mai ye..........Kaise samjhau!!!!!" his vernacular was back and also his obsessive tone. His desperation scared madhu and that obsession which lurked in his voice shaked her to the core. She sobbed harder as she looked at her phone.
"I don't wanna understand anything.........!!!!! Just leave me alone!!!!!" she yelled and immediately coughed for her mouth was extremely dry after crying so much. Mohan quickly provided her with some water.
"Why don't you understand madhu...........why don't you understand!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAMMIT.............WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!" he yelled like a maniac and this actually scared the chawlas badly. But madhushree was not going to surrender herself to a madman who is only confined to the phone.
"Leave me alone please.............I don't love you and I can never love you.........!!!!!" she felt her voice was threatening but it came out as a heartfelt plea. The chawlas were awaiting something like a smash or a bang as it was certained from this two minutes discussion that madhushree's rejection just unleashes a psychopath in him. But it didn't came rather they heard a spine chilling laughter. A laughter which can only be a facet of an unsound mind.
"Oh madhu!!!!!!!! Madhu.........madhu........madhu!!!!" he yet was laughing. For a minute he must have chortled like a comedy show judge, but abruptly he stopped. His bizzare comportment was incomprehensible for anyone let alone madhushree, nonetheless his terror was inevitable. They heard a deep breath and also a very faint tune of madhushree's favourite classic song playing in the background.
"Mai tumhare pyaar mei pagal hu madhu..........aur tumhara ye pagal aashique tumhe paane ke liye kuch bhi kar skta hai...........!!!!!" he paused for a moment and than stated something horrifying.
"Tum meri thi, meri ho aur humesha meri hi rahogi.........sirf meri!!!!" his declaration of his immortal obsession with her left the chawlas in the embrace of uncanny terror and daunting apprehension. But one thing was certain that he was not a man they could battle, neither alone nor accompanied. And his scary obsession with madhushree threatened her freedom and also her life.
