"Atty. Ellena!" I heard someone's voice greeted Ellena, must be Anya, Mia's secretary.

"Do you know where Mia was confined?" Now I heard Ellena's voice. She seemed agitated and in hurry.

"Huh? What do you mean Atty.? Na hospital ba si Atty. Mia?" Anya asked once again. Confusion is visible in her voice.

"She got into a car accident." Ellena briefly answered. I heard Anya gasped.

"It was Mr. Herrera's idea. Para masabotahe ang trial ng anak niya." Ellena whispered but it can be still heard clearly.

"And now, he asked me about the hospital where she's confined. I have to report it to Mr. Herrera." She continued.

"Anong gagawin niyo Atty., once you find where Atty. Mia is confined?" Anya asked after a minute of silence.

"I don't know what exactly is their plan. But I know that they really want to get rid of Mia." Ellena answered like it was just nothing.

I can't believe I am hearing all these words from her. Gone is the soft-spoken and kind Ellena that I once knew. Tila ba ibang Ellena ang taong ito. She's more aggressive and remorseful. Hindi ko akalain na matapos ang lahat ng paghihirap niya sa law school ay magiging ganito siya.

"After that, Anya called me and asked about you. She asked to confirm kung naaksidente ka ba talaga. And when I said yes, she asked where you were confined." I looked at Dave when he started speaking again.

"Sinabi mo ba kung nasan si Mia?" I asked him. Umiling naman siya. I feel Mia relaxed a bit. Hindi ko namalayan na sobrang tensed na pala ng balikat niya dahil sa narinig na palitan ng usapan ng dalawang katrabaho niya.

"I already asked your doctor if you can do your physical therapy somewhere else." He continued.

"What do you mean?" Mia asked confused.

"It won't take them long to find where you are Mia. I can't risk your safety once again lalo na ngayon na hindi ka pa magaling." He said in a more serious tone, he was like scolding his little sister.

"We have to look for a safe place. Doon ka mag u-undergo ng physical therapy mo at magpapagaling." Dugtong pa nito. Mia just nodded and let Dave decide for her.

It seems like she's done thinking of ways to protect herself that's why she's relying on someone else. I held her hand once again and kissed her temple.

"Oh, I remember. My rest house sila mama sa may Tagaytay. You can stay there at doon na gawin ang physical therapy mo." Dave said after scrolling through his phone like looking for something.

"Kailan ako pupunta don?" Mia asked while resting her head on my shoulder again.

"Tomorrow morning. I'll be here exactly 5 in the morning. I'll just ask Ate Marie regarding your bills at sa paglabas mo dito." Dave answered.

"Okay. Yun lang ba?" Mia asked again. Tinignan ko siya at nakitang inaantok na ang kaniyang mga mata.

"Yes, that's all for now. Pag-usapan natin muli ang tungkol sa trial ng kaso nila Ken at Grace once you're fully okay." Dave answered before he looked at the two men beside him. He dismissed them already and just gave them instructions that I don't know what's for.

Paglabas ng dalawang lalaki ay ang pagpasok naman ni Ate Marie. She gave me a deadpan looked when her eyes landed on me.

"You traitor!" Duro niya sa akin at masama pa rin ang tingin. "Sabi lumabas muna tayong dalawa. Ang ending ako lang yung lumabas. I was waiting for you, akala ko may makaka-usap ako pero shuta ka! Iniwan mo ako sa ere." Mahaba at gigil na litanya nito bago umupo sa tabi ni Dave.
