Chapter 9: You're the best

Yn POV

I looked out the window to see that we stopped at the park. I was so excited. I haven't been to the park in years. He looked over at me.

" You sure do look excited to be here" he said.

"Yeah...I haven't been here in a while" I said back.

I pulled the handle ready to get out.

"Wait" he said with a smile.

He got out of the car and walked to the other side. He opened my door.

" You do too much" I said with a giggle.

We ran over towards the slide.

I walked up the stairs while he stayed at the bottom. When I reached the top I stood at the top of the slide.

" I am the queen of the world" I yelled while giggling. " Bow down to my presence" I said to Jacob.

All of the children at the park were staring at me like I was crazy.

Jacob walked in from of the slide and did a little bow. I bowed back and laughed.

"The princess is now coming down" I announced right before sliding down.
I reached the bottom and looked up at Jacob. We both smiled at each other like idiots. He grabbed my hand and helped me up like a real princess.

"Thank you sir" I said while giggling.
"No problem princess" he said back.
"Princess?" I asked while smiling.
"Yeah I think I'll call you that" he said.
"Whatever" I said back while blushing.
He led me to a nearby bench and sat.
I smiled while I watched the children play together.

I looked over to see a boy hit his head and fall.
"Oh my gosh" I said and quickly got up. Jacob noticed what I was looking at and we both jogged over to him. He looked around 6. He had Carmel skin with pretty curly hair.

"Hi little one"Jacob said helping him up.
I bent down towards him like Jacob was doing.

"Are you okay?"I asked with a smile.
"Yes mam, it doesn't hurt much."he said in an adorable voice.
I look at his head and saw a small cut.
Jacob noticed it too and pulled a band aid out of this back pocket. He opened it and placed it gently on the little boys head.

"What's your name?"he asked while crumbling the wrapper.
"My name is Emmanuel" he said.
"Thats a nice name" I said butting in.
"Thanks"he said.
"So, is that your girlfriend"he said to Jacob while pointing at me.
"No no that's just my close friend"he said while smiling at me.
"Can i have her then"he said with a smile. "She's very beautiful"he said to me. "Yeah I already knew that"Jacob said looking in my eyes with a smile. I looked down and blushed.

"Well Emmanuel it was really nice meeting you"Jacob said.
"You to sir"he said.
"By the way, my name is Jacob & she is Yn"Jacob said.
"Okay, bye jacob and Yn"he said.
"Bye"I said waving.
"Bye"Jacob said.
We started walking and I decided to call my mom. It rung and then went straight to voicemail. I'm still wondering why she isn't picking up any of my phone calls.

"Everything alright?"Jacob asked with concern.
"Yeah,I'm fine" I said trying not to think about it too much.
"So,where are we headed?"I asked.
"Well, its a supirise but I have a feeling you might like it"he said.
We were walking and talking about our lives.

"So, tell me about your parents"I said.
"Well,my mom is the greatest. I really love her. She is like the only one that cares"he said.
"Awww Jacob's a mommy's boy" I said.
"Yeah I guess"he said giggling.
"What about your dad?"I asked.
"Well....he left us and now I have a soon to be step dad" he said in voice of annoyance.
"I'm sure he's not that bad"I said.
"Yeah that's what you think" he said.

We continued walking and soon reached an ice cream shop.
"Surprise" he said with a smile.
"Yayyy, let's go" I said and grabbed his hand.
"Hi, what would you guys like to order today?" The lady asked.
"Ladies first" Jacob said.
"I would like a vanilla ice cream with sprinkles"I said.
" I would like the same" he said.
"That will be 10 dollars please" she said.
I started to dig in my pocket for my money. I soon felt a pair of hands on mine.
"Don't even think about it" jacob said with a smile.
"Fine" I said smiling.
He paid and we went to a booth with our ice cream.
We sat enjoying it.

Jacob POV

We were enjoying our stuff until a question popped up in my head.
"So, are we gonna start our dance today?" I asked.
"Yeah, where are we going to practice?"she asked.
"How about at my place, my basement has mirrors and a nice floor." I said.
"So, will I ride with you?" She asked with a smile.
"Yeah if you'd like" I said.
"Okay, sounds good" she said with a smile.
We finished our ice cream and walked out.
We got in the car and drove back to the school.

Yn POV

When we got there we both got out. I walked to my locker and he went to his. He said he would meet me back here in 5 minutes. While I was grabbing my things I felt someone behind me. I turned around to see Heather. Oh gosh.

"Hey there Yn" she said.
Her speaking made me tense up.
"W-w-what do you want Heather?" I said feeling my throat knot up.
"Why you so nervous. We are friends, right?" She asked coming closer to me.
"Leave me alone" I said.
"Listen, leave jacob alone because he is mine." She said.
"Why should I listen to you" I said knowing I shouldn't have said that.
"Or I'll start the cycle again."she said with a grin knowing that what she said got to me.
As soon as she said that I wanted to cry. Tears began to form in my eyes.

"Yn still a little scary cat?" She asked my while laughing.
"J-j-j-just leave me alone" I said again.
As soon as I thought something was about to happen Jacob walked over to me. I looked at him. He noticed how I was looking and rushed over to me. He hugged me tight.

"What's wrong?" He asked.
I looked over his shoulder and she was staring at me with a death glare.I quickly pushed Jacob off of me. I stared at Heather one more time and then I looked at Jacob trying to make a look saying that I was sorry. I quickly ran out of the school looking for Jacobs car. I spotted it and stood by the door. I waited for him to come and unlock the door. He soon came out and ran over to me and hugged me. I pushed him off again.

"J-just unlock the door!" I said coldly. I didn't mean too but it just came out like that.
"Umm...okay" he said. I could tell I had frightened him. I opened the door and sat down. As soon as he pulled off I bust into tears. I just couldn't hold them in anymore. I felt the car stop. I looked up and we had pulled over somewhere. I looked at him and he hugged me. This time I didn't push him away. I wrapped my arms around him but hugging him tighter while crying my eyes out.

"You wanna talk about it?" He asked.
"Yeah soon, but I don't think now is a good time" I said.
"You sure?" He asked.
"Yeah" I said sitting back and putting on my seat belt.
He pulled off and stopped at my house.

Jacob POV

We both walked in at her house to see Craig sitting on the couch. When she saw him she ran to him and hugged him.
"Aww not again Yn?" He asked concerned.
"Is she doing this again?" He asked her.
"N-no Craig I just miss you" she lied.
"Yn stop lying to me and tell me the truth!" He said sternly.
I saw her body shiver from his yell.
"I'm sorry for yelling but you have to tell me.
"I'm fine Craig" she said and ran up to her room.
He sat down on the couch and let out a long sigh while putting I his hands over his face.

"Why can't she just tell me?" He asked.
"Maybe she's just not ready to tell you yet" I said.
"Yeah but she should be able to tell me anything " I said.
"I'm sure she'll tell you soon" I said.

Yn soon appeared back in the living room with a bag and her phone in her hand.
"I'm ready" she said while staring in Craig's eyes and him doing the same.
"Take care of my sister Jacob, I trust you" he said while dapping me but keeping his eyes on her.
"You ready?" I asked her and her eyes snapped to me.
"Yeah" she said with a small smile.
