Chapter 20. 'A Challenge or A Mission?'

Jay's class's line is not too far so Darsh speaks up hearing her words, "Don't forget you are going to the library in the free period. And by the way, only college students are allowed to visit the canteen in free period, school students are not allowed."
His classmates blink at the duo dumbly because Darsh never talks to school students and never this casually.

"अरे हाँ! I forgot about the library part." Nishi says remembering and then adds looking at Darsh, "Thanks for reminding me. By the way, what's your name? Sorry I forgot to ask you yesterday and this morning."

[ Translation : "Oh yeah! I forgot about the library part." ]

Jay, Nakul, Arav, Arika and their friends look at Darsh curiously hearing the duo talk. Darsh answers looking at her, "Darsh Kohli."

"Darsh भैया आपके दर्शन पाके हम धन्य हो गए! Thanks for the help earlier." Nishi's words cause the students who were looking at them to laugh due to her choice of words and accent while Darsh just rolls his eyes at her trying not to smile at her antics. He never talked to any school students but it felt right. . . .it felt rigjt because it reminded him of the old golden days when things were not this bad as they right now in their lives.

[ Translation : "Darsh Bhaiya, we are blessed to have your presence! Thanks for the help earlier." ]

"Don't make fun of him. He is a big bully. You will be in trouble." A student standing behind Emelia whispers warning Nishi but they all could hear her clearly. Darsh makes an unpleasant face and stands straight looking away from the teenager.

"I'm not making fun of him. I'm thanking him in my pure, सुशील words." Nishi causes another wave of laughter which makes Arika, Darsh and their friends break into laughter at her choice of words.

[ Translation : सुशील - affable ]

Some students including Nakul, Arav's friends laugh saying, "सुशील words?!"

"Nishi!" Suddenly everyone stands straight seeing Vardhan Sir coming out of nowhere and stand in between class 11 'A' and class 12 'A'.

"Good morning, Sir!" Nishi wishes Vardhan with a bright smile like the sun.

He folds his hands and wishes back and asks her coldly making other students gulp hardly, "Morning! What are you doing? Why is there so much noise here?"

"Laughing exercise, Sir! It's good for health in the morning." She answers casually making the students laugh again.

"QUIET!" Vardhan shouts again. Some students freeze and some flinch and stand straight hearing his famouse scolding voice. He adds looking back at her, "You are not afraid of me, are you?" He finally asks his curious question.

"Why would I be afraid of you, Sir? You are my teacher not a serial killer, are you?" She asks the last part narrowing her eyes at him in suspicion causing them all to laugh including Vardhan Sir this time too who chuckles. She continues, "And I told you yesterday, Sir that you are cute. It's just your tone is a bit of murderer's which gives some students chills of fear." She shrugs causing the College students widen their eyes at her direct comment.

Darsh and Daksh look at each other like Harsh and Ekansh trying not to laugh like Aditi and Naina who could see their Maths teacher blush badly.
