"There was an accident Y/n." April said. "Your dad- Jackson will be okay but we don't think his parents, Cathrine and Richard will be. He won't be coming home for a couple weeks because he needs to stay in Seattle to keep an eye on his parents." I walk up and hug her. I didn't know what to say. "I-I'm so sorry." I said and she just kept hugging me. I saw out the corner of my eye Harriet running up to Adam hugging him. He picked her up and held her as she cried.

"I um need to go up to my room for a little bit, can you watch her?" April asks and I nod. She goes up to her room and I turn to Adam who is still holding Harriet who was dozing off. He sat down on the couch letting her stay on his chest and it was the cutest thing. I can't wait to see him like that with out baby. "I guess I'll just put on a movie and we can chill." I say and put on 'Mulan'. It was my favorite Disney princess movie. " my parents are excited to have you home with us for Thanksgiving." Adam turns his head to me and I do the same. " really? I feel like I'm gonna puke just thinking about it. Sitting at a formal dinner with your parents and actually talking to them and stuff makes me nervous" I start to mess with my nails which causes him to put his hand on mine, "Relax. You have no reason to be nervous, I promise." He smiled.

It was finally Thanksgiving and I was so excited. All I do is eat so knowing that there will be a buffet sitting on the table in front of me just makes me drool. I put on a tight dark red dress, thanksgiving appropriate, with my favorite UGGs . Adam had on a sweater vest and some pants, He looks so cute like he always does.
Jackson was coming home tonight for Thanksgiving so by the time I get home he should be there and i'm so excited to see him. I miss him so much. But his parents did die so I think I also need to give him his space.

Adam pulled out a chair for me and I sat down, he sat down next to me and his parents sat across from us. It was just us four which I thought was weird but that means more food for me so I don't care. "Y/n, you look amazing! I can't wait to meet my baby boy!" Mrs. Banks smiled. Mr. Banks didn't seem as thrilled as her but he was still a bit excited. "We can't wait either. All we do is talk about names and shop for baby things." Adam grabbed my hand and we smiled at each other.

Mrs. Banks made me a big plate of turkey, stuffing, cranberries, mash potatoes and gravy, rolls, and other things. I took the plate from her, "Thank you!" She nodded and made Adam's plate too. we all sat there in a bit of awkward silence until Mr. Banks started to talk, "Adam, how is hockey? You get a lot of play time?" Adam sighed, "Yeah I'm always playing" he said blandly and Mr. Banks raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. I go to all of Adam's games and honestly he hasn't been playing so well. I don't know what's going on with him.

The rest of the dinner was weird, I didn't feel welcomed so I told Adam I wanted to leave and we did. "Let's go see Charlie, I miss him." I say as we got into his car and he smiles, "I was just thinking we should go see him. It's his first Thanksgiving with his stepdad, I know he's probably giving him a hard time." We both laugh and he starts driving to Charlie's new house. After his mom and her new husband got married, they bought a nice house not too far from Adam's house.

When we got there Adam helped me out the car and we walked up to the door, "have you ever met him? What even is his name?" I ask when we got to the door. He shrugs and knocks. "Um hi, can I help you?" Casey's husband answers the door. "Hi, I'm Y/n and this is Adam. We're Charlie's friends and we just wanted to stop by." He smiles and makes room for us to walk in. "Charlie!" He yells and Charlie comes to the door and grabs our hands and pulls us into his room. "You good?" Adam asks laughing and Charlie closes his door. "No, he's trying to act like my dad and he's not my dad" Charlie rolls his eyes. "I texted Guy to come over so he should be here soon. I would've texted you two but I figured you were busy." He shrugged. "We were at Adam's but it wasn't very fun" I lay down on Charlie's bed and get under the covers. Adam chuckles, "I never told you it would be fun" I shrug and get comfy.
