Part Two: Chasing your dreams

Yay I finally updated this story! Sorry if it's been awhile.

A lot of stuff has been going in in my life, like school and writer's block and a trip to epcot, but now I'm back!

So yeah, sorry if this chapter isn't the best, but I just haven't been feeling the best lately.

So to make up for the wait, here's a long chapter. Or at least it's the longest I have ever written(though I don't usually write much anyway).

(Makoto's pov)

Today was a day like any other day in my life, or at least for most of it. I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, and grabbed a bite to eat as I headed out the door on the way to Haru's house. Haru and and i have been friends for as long as i could remember, we pretty much know everything about one another. Except that Haru doesn't know that i have a different sexuality than him, or at least i don't think he knows.

As i got to Haru's house i did the norm which consisted of getting him out of his bath to get ready to school(don't worry, it's not like whatever you're probably thinking) and walking with him to class. And of course i make sure he grabs a quick breakfest of fried mackeral on his way out, he needs some nourishment before a day's worth of learning.

The day went by like usual, getting through required(yet I wish they weren't) classes, a rambunctious lunch with the peppy as always Nagisa, and a refreshing swim practice. After swim practice, well at least for all of us except Haru, Gou talked to us in some future plans regarding our swimming.

"I have booked us a joint practice this weekend with Samezuka Academy, after talking to my brother if course." Gou announced after Haru finally decided to join us.

"Why a joint practice all of a sudden? Isn't Samezuka busy practicing for the Spring Prelims?" Haru spoke up for once. I wonder why he seemed to question the practice, but whatever it is probably isn't that bad.

"Well, Rin said that the practice would be good in preparation for the prelims, so I thought it would do us some good too. No offense guys, but we have some work to do if we want to do well in the Prelims." Gou replied.

"What do you mean by that Gou-chan?!" Nagisa practically hollered. "It's Kou, not Gou! And I mean what you think I mean!" Gou retaliated back to the hyperactive blonde.

While they were arguing, my thoughts turned to Samezuka. Or more specifically, someone on the Samezuka swim team.

Saturday morning at Samezuka

(Sousuke's pov)

Ugh practice is killing me, well metaphorically at least. Rin sure does know the meaning of tough love all right. We've been practicing everyday for at least 3 hours, and it's been taking it's toll on my shoulder. Though I try not to let it show, especially since no one knows that it hurts me.

Rin recently told the team he booked us a joint practice with the Iwatobi swim club. I just hope my shoulder holds up through the whole practice. I wouldn't want people to worry, especially not Iwatobi's gentle giant.

"Hey Sousuke, hurry up! It's almost time for the joint practice!" I heard Rin yell from the hallway. "Don't worry, I'll be out in a sec!" I replied, putting in my swimming suit and grabbing my goggles and swim cap.

The joint practice went by pretty swimmingly, pun intended, and my shoulder kept up pretty well. Maybe it's because I was focused on something besides my shoulder and swimming. I kept sneaking glances at Iwatobi's captain, Makoto Tachibana, when ever I got the chance. Though maybe it was a mistake, since I noticed he caught those glances.
