King's POV
"Tol, kauuwi mo pa nga lang dito sa Pilipinas, trabaho naman kaagad yang inaatupag mo"
I know I am a nuisance to him in his corporate office but I wanted him to relax even for a bit. Free from stress and burden from work.
"Tara, bar tayo mamaya. Inom lang ng konti" I tried to invite him but....
"Tigilan mo ko pare. Ang dami ko pang trabaho oh" he's pointing at the pile of papers in his table, "ikaw na lang mag-enjoy ha"
He's really a busy person but he's not really not this type of friend I used to have back in college. It seems that he just keeps himself busy by drowning himself to a lot of workload that he can even just leave to his assistants.
Lunchtime.
I went back to his office, "Lunchtime na pre, mall tayo. so baka naman ngayon papayag ka na?"
He lifted his head. I thought he would not agree again but he said yes.
He left all the paperworks in his table, in a clean and organized manner. He took off his black coat and replaced it with a teen jacket, that made him look younger than me.
We arrived at the mall around 12:30 in the afternoon. We can't decide where to eat so I just key in a random word at my phone. Ramen Nagi it is.
We headed towards the restaurant and gladly, we got our order fast.
"Pare, hindi ka ba talaga interesado sa kinwento ko sayo last week?" I started as I am eating this ramen.
He shook his head, "Imposible naman kasi yung sinasabi mo Pare!"
I looked deeply into his eyes. He is not yet fully recovered.
"Pare kilala kita. Kahit sampung taon na ang lumipas at kahit pilitin mo mang isubsob yang sarili mo sa trabaho, kitang-kita ko sa mga mata mo ang longing mo sa kanya at sa trabaho mo"
He paused his eating. He looked at me. I see how lonely are his eyes, but there is a mix of guilt and anger. He again shook his head, "Sino namang may sabi sayo na hindi ko gusto ang trabaho ko ngayon? May-ari ng malaking kumpanya, may malaking bahay at kotse, at nagmamay-ari ng maraming negosyo."
"Fine. Pero feeling ko malapit lang ang mga mundo niyong dalawa. Magkikita at magkikit.......pare!" I was surprised that Ken noticed my eyes suddenly big.
