Lilith kept breaking down into sobs, she hadn't ever felt so weak and out of control in her life. She frowned at herself in the mirror at the sight of her puffy eyes and red face, her eyes still seeming to sparkle despite the tears that filled them.
Jughead wanted to talk- and was desperate enough he had asked Archie Andrews to get over his fear of the girl and drag her to him if necessary.
Lilith had grumbled the whole way outside of the school building, her boots were the only thing she could seem to focus on.
Jughead frowned at the sight of Lilith alone- screaming heartbreak. Toni glanced over to him at the sight of her tight jeans and a black shirt so big it fell over her shoulder.
Her face looked puffy and miserable once she'd glanced up to the teenagers.
"What?" Lilith couldn't help but snap out as she crossed her arms. Lilith made sure to keep her distance- to stay behind Andrews.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Toni couldn't help but immediately ask her.
Lilith's heart swelled at the question, Sweet Pea didn't like her, there was no point in trying to talk herself out of this.
"Because I'm a liar." Lilith's voice was dull as if any life had been sucked out of her. She hadn't been sleeping, she hadn't ever been so upset.
Well she had been, but that was so long ago she had almost let her forget how terrible it felt to get someone you loved ripped away from you.
Little did the Serpents know Lilith was lying a hell of a lot more about things. Malachi was in charge now, her being a close second that she couldn't seem to breathe anymore.
"Why couldn't you just tell us you went to Riverdale High?" Toni grew agitated at the girls seeming aloof attitude.
"You hate Northsiders, you hate Ghoulies." Lilith shrugged confusing them more, "Greendale was safe ground."
"Do you really even love him?" Toni Topaz suddenly spat out with a death glare.
They knew the answer by Lilith's sudden body change, her defensive demeanor dropped to a soft, almost wounded stance.
"I-I love Sweet Pea." Lili sputtered out, "I wish I didn't!"
"C'mon, Lilith." Archie nudged her gently as his heart clenched for the girl.
"I won't leave that being a question." Lilith ignored him and stepped closer to Toni.
"I love Sweet Pea, I've never cared about anyone even a fraction of the amount I care for him." She said adamantly.
Toni's eyes dropped, "I know."
"Tell us the truth." Jughead said, he still felt like they didn't have all the information.
"I come from Ghoulie royalty, I go to Northside High." The girl threw an arm up in frustration, "What else matters?"
"Where are you staying?" Jughead asked out of curiosity.
"With a friend." Lilith shot a glare but felt a chill spread over her body with the lie.
She knew Toni might know her father was dead but the rest didn't... Sweet Pea didn't know.
"We'll be in your territory soon, Lil." Toni reminded her, as if the thought had ever left her mind since the announcement had been made.
"She said she was staying with a friend." Jughead shrugged out but watched as Sweet Pea leaned back in his own chair- his face hard as steel.
"What?" Jughead asked due to the look on his face, "Who's the friend?"
"Ones a friend, the other is a monster." Is all Sweet Pea would expose, he still held the understanding that telling people of Lilith's assault would be a terrible thing for him to do. It wasn't his story to tell, Lilith wasn't his girl to protect anymore.
"She's barely any safer there than she was at home." Sweet Pea looked angry at the realization.
Jughead seemed to stare at him for a long moment, "I've heard rumors that Malachi is in charge now."
"What?" Toni asked quietly.
"Wouldn't that mean.." Fangs trailed off in uncertainty.
"Raphael is dead?" Sweet Pea squinted at Jughead
"The younger boys are saying The Princess took him out."
"They're also saying she did it with a machete." Toni rolled her eyes before noticing the look on Sweet Pea's face.
"Oh my god, she did it." Toni exclaimed, "Didn't she?"
"If Lili we're gonna kill him a knife would definitely be involved." Sweet Pea shared.
Toni blinked remembering the weird message Lilith had sent her- it's over now.
