I don't want you to die.

When Lilith's blue eyes blinked open they burned immediately due to the dryness. She stared blankly at Sweet Pea's bedroom door, not moving her gaze even when Sweet Pea adjusted besides her.

"Baby?" He called quietly to the silent girl, he hadn't ever seen her look so miserable.

"Tell me not to kill him." Her voice didn't sound like anything Sweet Pea was used to hearing from her. Sweet Pea was used to Lilith speaking with a lightness- giggling in happiness.

Not sounding like she was dull as if she was ready to burn the whole town down to get her revenge.

"Don't kill him." Sweet Pea requested, "Stay here with me, Lili."

"I can't stay here!" Lilith was outraged.

"He'll treat you worse than he did Caliban!" Her body leaned up in bed before she pulled her knees up to her chest.

"I'm terrified." She finally admitted.

Sweet Pea placed a hand on her back, he wasn't sure what to say to her.

"I'm not scared of your father, Lilith." He leaned in close to the girl to place a kiss on her exposed shoulder.

"Karma will give him what he deserves." Sweet Pea glared, "And I'll finish him off because of what he's done to you."

"Sweet Pea-"

"I'm serious, Lili." Sweet Pea cut her off, "I'll do anything I can to help you."

Lilith pushed her black hair out of her face with a sigh.

"You don't understand." She mumbled out.

"He's a very powerful man. He gets away with the things he's done because of it."

Sweet Pea couldn't help but be confused, Greendale was sounding a lot more like Riverdale than he had originally expected. It sounded like she had just as much trouble at home.

"The Serpents won't let him get away with it." Lilith couldn't help but stiffen at the mention, the Serpents couldn't ever be involved- Sweet Pea shouldn't have ever been involved.

"I shouldn't have came here." She said quietly in realization.

"You shouldn't have ever left." Sweet Pea said.

"I-I shouldn't have ever said that to you, I was just pissed. And jealous." He admitted, the word jealousy seeming ridiculously wrong know that he knew Kyle had taken advantage of Lilith.

"You don't need to be jealous." She admitted quietly, "I hate Kyle."

"Why?" Sweet Pea already knew the answer but he wanted it to be her choice to have him know. He hated that her choice had been taken from her before.

"Sami was my best friend." Lilith frowned, "Now it's like I can't ever be around her because it's painful."

"We went to a party and Kyle kept giving me drinks an- and he took advantage of how fucked up I was." Lilith felt weak for saying it.

"I didn't want it." She bit on the inside of her lip.

"All they ever want to do is get messed up and part of me does too.. the other part is terrified though."

"I won't let that happen again to you." Sweet Pea said in anger.

"I always said I wouldn't let it happen either- but it's not a matter of will." Lilith shook her head, "It's capability- and I wasn't capable of stopping it the same you wouldn't have been."

"I'm worried if my dad finds out about you he'll kill you." Lilith admitted quickly.

"He's a violent man, Sweet Pea." Her blue eyes filled with tears at the though of her father ever knowing.

"I- I think Caliban was punishment."

"What do you mean, Lili?"

"They already have a suspicion that I'm sneaking around with someone." She wiped a stray tear from the corner of her eye.

"Then let's stop sneaking." Sweet Pea declared, "Let me meet them."

Lilith whipped her head to him in astonishment, "Are you kidding me?"

"No." He shook his head, "Let me meet them and let them know I'm not just some boy."

"I'm a threat, Lili." Sweet Pea declared, it was true. He was more of a threat than he could imagine, which would make it that much more official that her father would want to take him out.

"I'm ready to fight for you, Lilith."

At the hard look in his brown eyes Lilith could feel her heart soar. He was willing to fight for her, to prove that he wasn't going anywhere unless she was at his side. Sweet Pea was more of a man than her father had ever been.

I love you Lilith declared silently to him in her head.

"No." Her tone was gentle yet it was still a command. A command Sweet Pea couldn't do anything but agree to.

"Then you stay away from your father." It was worded as a response command but his tone was a beg.

"I know how much losing Caliban has hurt you but if you won't allow me to be at your side then I need to know you won't try to avenge him on your own." Lilith's eyes looked between Sweet Pea's before she slowly nodded.

With a long sigh Lilith grabbed her phone from the bedside table.

It rang for a long moment, "Hello?"

"Are you sober enough to understand me?" Lilith glared.

"Well good morning to you too, Little Sister." Kai laughed out.

"Caliban is dead on the garage floor." Lilith spoke in a quick breath.

"If I come home and he's still there I will either kill father or I will die trying."

Kai's expression was one of shock on the other line, "What happened, Lilith?"

"Raphael shot him." She sneered out with an eye roll to cover her upmost sadness- Sweet Pea noticing that it seemed he was the only one who she was anything but angry with.

"What! Why?" Malachi gasped out glancing into the living room in search of the culprit.

"I don't know, Kai!" His sister yelled, "Bury him or you'll be burying me."

Lilith hung up before he could response and flopped back down on Sweet Pea's bed with a loud sigh.

"He didn't deserve to die." Lilith mumbled out.

"No, he didn't." Agreed Sweet Pea, "He was loyal to you."

"That's why he died."

Sweet Pea frowned over at her, "I'm so sorry, Lili."

The beautiful glanced over at him then with sad eyes as she gulped.

"I don't want him to hurt you." Sweet Pea watched in astonishment as tears rose in his girls eyes. "I don't want you to die."

He tugged her to his chest quickly, "I won't get hurt, Baby."

"I'm just worried about you getting hurt." Sweet Pea said against her scalp before kissing it.

Lilith didn't care about getting hurt, she'd been hurt before. She knew what to expect and how it would feel but Sweet Pea getting hurt? She couldn't imagine what that would do to her- doubted she'd be able to survive the guilt or bare the pain of losing him.
