Chapter 10 (Caught red handed)

Jake: No!

Aiden: Yeah sure you weren't XD

I swear people like Aiden and Brianna are always teasing me about this. 

I looked over to see that there was someone talking to Selena across the hall where her locker was. 

Jake: Speaking of Selena there she is now! Let's go

Aiden: okay

"Selena!" Jake called out

Selena looked over and saw the two of them waving

Selena: I have to go see my friends now

Adam: Wait but can I still get your number?

"Hard pass" Selena said while walking away

Selena: Hi guys

We all started walking while we talked

Jake: So who was that guy you were talking to?

Selena: I don't know; some random sophomore asking for my number

Aiden: Even the Sophomores now? *whispers to Jake* Damn bro you got some competition 😏

"SHUT UP ABOUT THAT" Jake whispered while blushing

Aiden: Anyways how was your class?

Selena: It was good.  Jake zoned out tho and I had to tell him the teacher was calling his name

Aiden: Oh? you didn't tell me about that

"Whatever" Jake replied while rolling his eyes with a little laugh

Jake: Anyways do you guys wanna hang out tomorrow? There's a new cafe that opened up near us and it sound pretty cool. 

Aiden: Sure! I'll ask Martin if he wants to come too

Selena: I'll have to see if I'm free because I have to work.

Jake: Ah I see we'll let me know if your available

Selena: I will

*Akari runs by*

Jake: Oh hey Akari!

*Akari almost slips*: Hey Jake! What's up?

Jake: Did you wanna come with us to a new cafe on Saturday? I heard it has a lot of ice cream desserts

Akari: Oh sorry I can't I'm busy Saturday

Jake: Doing what?

Akari: I- uh.. I'm doing homework! Yeah that's it ok well I gotta go to detention now see ya byeeeee!

*Akari runs off*

Jake: Akari wait!

Selena: Well that was strange..

Jake: Yeah Akari never turns down ice cream even if she already had plans

Aiden: Let alone to do her homework 🤣 it doesn't add up; she avoids homework like the plague

Selena: Somethings clearly going on but I'm not going to question it. Anyways I'll text you guys if I can come tomorrow bye.

Aiden: See ya Selena

Jake: Bye Sellll!

Selena: Don't call me thattt

Jake: Ok byeeee 👋

The next day we went to the colour hub cafe and had a great time. It had a lot of creative foods, desserts and drinks. And the place itself was just as creative and bold. Akari would have absolutely loved this place. Speaking of Akari, I still found it really suspicious how she just blew us off without giving a good answer. I knew something was up so I decided to check the Karate school after I left the cafe. And just as I thought she was there but unexpectedly she was also there with Levi.

I decided to spy on them for a bit to see what they were doing. I was honestly still shocked. I didn't think I'd see them hanging out on their free time. And more importantly THEY SNUCK INTO THE DOJO. They could get into serious trouble if their caught.

Selena: Those two really are something else huh?

Jake: AH! Oh Selena it's just you...when did you even get here?

Selena: You should know by now Jake that I'm everywhere.

Jake: oh yeah I forgot that your slick for a second

Selena: So they broke into the dojo. Considering all the trouble they've been causing lately they'll probably get their belts confiscated if Mr. Watakoshi sees them.

Aiden: I'm wondering how they even got in. I'm the only one out of all of us with spare keys.

Martin: Yeah seems pretty risky if you ask me

Jake: WHERE DID YOU GUYS EVEN COME FROM?!

Aiden: I was wondering why Akari was acting so secretive yesterday so I came to investigate and brought Martin with me.

"I also got it bit curious myself" Martin said while scratching his head and smiling

Jake: Oh I see

Selena: Come to think of it why didn't you just go to Akari's house and see where she was?

Jake: Well if she was really where I thought she was, her mom would most likely not know about her being here and she would be in big trouble with her as well.

Aiden: Ah makes sense

Martin: What are they even doing in there?

Selena: From the looks of it, I think Levi is trying to teach her the butterfly kick.

Martin: Wow it's the first time in years that they actually wanted to spend their free time together. 

Aiden: Yeah but it could just be them wanting more practice time since they have detention. 

Selena: Aiden with all due respect it's a Saturday, Levi is clearly teaching Akari something that they don't need for the upcoming grading and I'm pretty sure if they just wanted some "extra practice" they could've just done it at home. 

Jake: Shes right.  But it's also nice to see that Levi  took some time out of his weekend to teach her this. 

Selena: Doesn't look like they're making much progress though -_-
