His Greenie (Newt x Reader)

-Rainy Day-

The sun isn't shining like it always does and the clouds aren't looking lively either...I placed the last ripe tomato in the basket when I felt something wet hit my hand...I frowned and examined it...the leaf in front of me swayed when a drop of water hit it...

"It's raining! Everyone inside!" Alby announced and I immediately placed the basket of tomatoes inside before the rain gets stronger

I watched as the gladers ran to the homestead to be safe...and that's when I realized...I'm in a wrong room....I'm in the small hut near the vegetables and crops and the worst part...the roof has holes...I groaned in frustration...stupid!

I looked at the homestead and I saw Thomas looking for me...they weren't able to get in the maze because of the rain...The lightning lit up the sky and thunder came after...I shivered when a cold wind blew...I wish I was with the rest of them

The rain is pouring hard and I'm getting wet...

"Y/N!!! Where are you?!" Thomas...shuck! He'll never calm down until he sees me...I know him, he's never the calm one

I looked at the homestead where I saw the other gladers pat thomas on the shoulder and Alby is whispering something to him...and then...I saw Newt...he was looking around frantically...wait, is he looking for me too?

No one seems to notice me watching them so I made the decision to just run for it...I counted to three before running off...the homestead is quite far and the ground is muddy and slippery that it took me longer than I expected...Chuck was the one who spotted me first

I was a few meters away when I slipped and fell on the ground, head first...I felt a stinging pain and felt something warm on my head making my visions blur...

I saw the others run towards me and the very first one to reach me was Newt...he knelt down in front of me, his hair sticking to his head because of the rain and he gently picked me up and the last thing I heard was his voice saying that everything's alright

I have no idea where Y/N is and Thomas is getting frantic by the minute!

"Newt! You were suppose to keep an eye on her!" he yelled but I just ignored him and looked around the glade...that girl is always getting in trouble...I just hope she's safe

"Y/N!!! Where are you?!" Thomas yells

Chuck walked towards me and just sat down on a hammock "I know she's safe"

"Oh yeah? what makes you so sure?" I asked

"She survived a night in the maze, a little rain won't hurt her" he says as he fiddled at a wooden figurine

The others were trying to calm Thomas until Alby came to him

Why did I even leave her?

And then, Chuck spoke "There she is!"

I turned and I saw her...she ran as fast as her legs could and struggled to run straight because of the slippery ground...she was a few meters away when she fell,head first...

I immediately ran towards her, not caring about the heavy rain and knelt down in front of her...she's still conscious but barely awake...she fell right into a rock and a nasty wound is visible on her head...I immediately carried her back towards the homestead

"Everything's alright...hold on" I whispered
