His Greenie (Newt x Reader)

I woke up when I heard a knock on the door...I immediately stood up to answer it so that Newt won't be disturbed...I opened the door and was face to face with Alby,Minho and my brother...Thomas was staring at me, stunned

"What on earth are you doing here Y/N?" he asks as he grabs my wrist "What happened?"

My eyes widened at what he said, "What?! No! It's not what you think!"

Minho smirked,amused,as he crosses his arms over his chest "What is it then?"...Thomas was looking at me, his eyebrows furrowed and tapping his foot impatiently while Alby was raising an eyebrow and smiling slightly

"Okay, look...Newt wasn't feeling well yesterday and refused to go to Clint and Jeff so he got sick and it so happened that I came by to check on him last night and that's when I took care of him...that's it...it's simply helping" I say but their expressions were the same. Minho,amused,Thomas,suspicious and Alby...well,I think he's amused too

"Not convinced little sis, if you were only taking care of him, then why would you even spend the whole night with him?" Thomas says

I groaned in frustration and was about to answer when Newt came out and did the talking "I asked her to"

Thomas glared at him "And WHY?" Newt sighs and shrugs "I need assisstance too and since she's already there, I grabbed the opportunity to ask her to stay put since I can't call anyone else because of my condition" and finally, that shut my brother up

Minho chuckled and shook his head "Alright then...we just came by to check on you, since it's already past 5 and you still aren't up"

Newt nodded "Don't worry, I'm feeling better now"

"Okay then, I'll see you around" Alby says before walking off, followed by Minho...

"Let's eat dinner together" Thomas says to me emphasizing the word 'together'...I gave him a salute and then he walks off

I turned to Newt who was watching my brother go..."Protective and Possessive" he says with a chuckle

"Nah, he's over reacting, so uh...since you're okay already, I'll just see you later at work" I was about to go when he grabs my hand...sending tingles down my spine "Where are you going?"

"To go get breakfast...I'm hungry" I say and tried to ignore the weird feeling I'm having right now...what is this?

"Wait, let's go together, I'll just go get change real quick" I was stunned but I just nodded

The breakfast went great and I'm actually loving Newt's company...He was telling jokes and I was laughing hard,maybe too hard that made Alby walk over to me with a smirk and whispered "Don't get too carried away, your brother might get you grounded" Newt asked what he just said but I just shrugged it off saying that he just wanted me to keep it down.

Newt helped me plant the seeds and did some other gardening stuff, when it was breaktime, we sat down under a big tree facing the glade..."Thank you by the way...for taking care of me last night" he says after a few moments of silence...I turned to him and smiled "I can't just leave you there trembling"

Dinner came and Thomas immediately grabbed my arm and dragged me away from Newt..I waved at him and followed my overprotective brother

"You like him" he says once we were seated

"What?"

"I said, You.Like.Newt"

I frowned "I like him as a friend, what's wrong with that?"

He smirked as he shook his head, playing with his food "Yeah sure"

I sighed and just ate my meal in silence, ignoring my brother
