Y/N p.o.v

It's been a few months. Armando and I became very distant, and would only talk to each other about work stuff.

It's my fault, really. I try to avoid him.
I can't control myself, my feelings, so this is the only way.
...but have I done the right thing?

I saw him getting 17 cups of coffee the other day. He... didn't even ask me.

One day, near the end of the work day, I saw another name on the list. My eyes widened.
"MR ARMANDO!"
I ran into his office room instead of calling him.

"You HAVE to see this!"
I said, excited.
It was the first time in a long time that I've talked to him like that.

"What is it, Miss L/N?"
My sudden energy made him curious and excited, too.

"Look!"
I dragged him to my computer.

"No way..."
He whispered in disbelief.

I suddenly noticed how close we were. Damn it, Y/N!
I raised my eyes, just in time to see...

"MIA! You are back!"
I called out.

"Pumpkin! Never thought I'd see you here again!"
Armando walked up to her and they kissed.

Oh.
Right.

"Yes, I'm back! But just for an hour, to settle in. Could you please put me back in the system?"
Mia asked me.

"Sure will!"
I smiled, yet wasn't happy.

I mean, I'm glad she is back! Even though I didn't really have the chance to know her well, now we can!

But... seeing them like this...
Together...
I'm a bit jealous.

"Diego, would you mind making three cups of 102 for celebrating while I put Mia's name in the system?"
It suddenly said.
Armando's face lit up when I didn't use the formal naming.
"Sure will, Y/N!"

"102 is your favourite too, right Mia?"
I made sure.
"Um, I'm actually not familiar with the numbers... but it's the one he usually drinks, right?
His favourite? I like it, yea."
Mia smiled.

For some reason I felt better.
That I am familiar with his dear blends, probably the only person but him that knows all the recipes.

Maybe...
Maybe Mia's return is a good thing.
It'll be harder for me to unconsciously do anything while she is here.
I missed Armando's nicknames.
I missed speaking with him.
Now, when Mia's here, it'll be easier.

"So what made you return to the defence business?"
The three of us set in the kitchen. We were the only ones left in the office.

"I would like to know that, too."
Armando said, interested.

"Just the thought of innocent people getting false convictions.

...but mainly... THAT trial...
I can't bare the thought that that Daliah girl got out of everything like nothing. And I'm sure she will strike again and get someone else to take the blame."
Mia looked aside, the dark memories still hunting her.

"I know the feeling.
Actually... I've been keeping tabs on her all these years."

"Really?"
I said, surprised.

"You WHAT?!"
Mia's surprise had a slight anger in it.

"This past week and a half she went to the court library every Monday and Thursday at noon. I want to meet her there tomorrow and maybe find out what she's up to, or if she did anything wrong."
